AFC South Standings as of week 3 ((MERGE))

The Jags are a lot better than what ppl have given them credit for. Absolute demolitions of teh Colts and Chargers (if nothing happens) back to back is extremly impressive.

If the Colts and Titans can start rolling along with the Jags the South might not end up being as bad of a division as ppl said it was before the season.

2. Colts 1-1-1

3. Titans 1-2

4. Texans 0-2-1

Maybe the jags aren’t that bad and Trevor might be the best qb in the south?  Yeah I know too soon but current standings

Chargers have a severely hurt Herbert playing. Lost their LT plus a couple stars on defense.

Could Trevor become the next Peyton of the AFC South? Don’t know, but it does look like he’s starting to get his feet under him.

Hmm.. AFC south > AFC West? hahahah too soon I know but it's funny how that was supposed to be the best divison race EVER. Still might end up. But McDaniels still can't head coach, the Chargers, I dont know about. And i never got the hype with Russ. The broncos will prob end up 1-2 after tonight

AFC South standings after week 3:

1. Jags 2-1

2. Colts 1-1-1

3. Titans 1-2

4. Texans 0-2-1

The way I look at it, as long as we beat the Titans and Jags here we will be fine. The Jags are cute kobe bryant nba GIF-but when we play them again, Leonard will be back. I got news for them, they want no part of Maniac. We just went from 32nd in the power rankings to 15th lmao and we haven't had our best defensive player playing, the media is stunning.

Finishing the first quarter next week as 2-1-1 is really not that bad. But have to get this oline fixed.

The O-line just needs to step up and play up to their salary.

Right now they are playing it safe to not get injured.

Jags killed the chargers, but let's not act like Herbert was even 50 percent. He shouldn't have played, but as the guy of a franchise, you feel like you need to.

Also all of this happened to the Chargers:

Until proven otherwise I am saying the Jags are vastly improved.  All they can do is play the teams they line up against.  It’s not their fault if they are banged up.

Colts have a huge game with the Titans this week.  Colts win that one and they are in the drivers seat for the division if the Jags do revert to their old form.

They can be improved bur not to the point of how they looked today. Chargers injuries made it easy/

Week 6 book it, just like I booked todays win. Moon Walk Dance GIF

If I had to bet he will be back for titans. That was probably the target date.

I hope but I think we can beat them without him. Jacksonville has me more concerned.

Jacksonville looks like a well balanced team with plenty of talent. They didn’t just  beat the chargers they  beat the brakes off a wounded team. If Lawrence is the guy I think he is we’re gonna need a real reset to get to the top of the south in the coming seasons. I hope I’m wrong.

Not so in the Broncs.  Wilson led them to big 11 spot lol.

I thought Denver would look better than they do.

Jacksonville has assembled good talent and they have one heck of a coach.  Pederson is the closest thing to Andy Reid and should have success with the super talented Trevor Lawrence. Lawerence struggled bc he was a rookie and Urban Meyer is a joke and new from day one he wouldn’t make it in the pros. When the Jags signed Doug P, my heart sank a bit bc I knew he was the perfect fit for that team. I’m not saying they will be playing for SBs, just that they will be competing for this division for the foreseeable future.

The AFC South is about to be a dog fight these next few years. Going to be a tough division to beat.

Jags are a lot better than people think. They destroyed the Chargers yesterday. That loss isn't looking as bad now considering no Pittman, no Pierce, and no Leonard. Tennessee did Tennessee things yesterday just enough to get their win. AFC South may be better than a lot of people think. We need Leonard back for that 2nd Jags game.

I have to admit the Jags have me a little worried but I think we will beat them here. It won't be easy though. We usually always split with them.

They are in the rise but I don’t think they are there yet. Probably another 1-2 years away from being legitimate. We should win at home against them.  I will be watching them through out the year to see how they respond when the grind starts.

This is the year we need to win the division because Trevor is going to be great in the future. I think he already is good. If we beat them here we will be ok, that should be a great game. It almost makes me want to go that game and I haven't been to a game since 2013. From 2002-2013 I went to at least 35 games (2 or 3 a year) and one of the games I would go too was the Jags every year lmao . Tickets were cheap and we always won.

Off topic but a loooong time ago, the Baltimore Colts were in the NFL West.

The teams....Colts, 49ers, Rams and Falcons.

Damn that is old school haha . I don't even remember that. I have been a fan since 1984 so I remember the Dolphins, Pats, Bills, and Jets = AFC East.

You hire a real coach and that will happen , the look very prepared for chargers didn’t give up 1 sack against them with there pass rusher they have

    • QB, LT, WR (or TE), EDGE, One Back Seven player.   A team must be very good in all 5 of those spots.  A team must have one of those players on offense and defense (two players) be elite in order to be a "playoff" team.   So how close are we to that structure, and can you find those players in anything other than the first round....or the top 15.   How many years of first round picks...or top 15 picks.... are we looking at?   Maybe there is a shorter way.  Maybe we have a head start with some of those players already on the roster.  IDK.
    • They added a top prospect qb that was coming off one of the best college seasons ever.  If we could add a JB then we might be able to do the same    If we get someone like Levis or Mckee we have a ways to go
    • This GM scares me when he thought Pryor could play left tackle (the most important position on the line) when you trade for a statue QB with a noodle arm. Then he also thought that Pinter could start at RG. Two big whiffs that killed our chances at winning football. Also agreeing to trade for Wentz and Ryan were both terrible moves. Also he said we are happy with our wide receiver room when they are below average and can't beat man to man coverage. These 3 things killed any chance we had at winning so thus in my opinion I do not want him to pick our next QB.
    • Id like to say anything can happen, but if you really dissect it we are poor in the most important positions.  - We need a QB, some teams spend 5-10 years looking for one, we are not immune to this possibility.   - We need a LT, we can hope on Raimann but he is a raw 3rd rounder.   - We need more weapons, the best teams in the league have at least one very explosive wide out. Pitt just doesn't seem to be on the same level as the Jeffersons, Chase's, Diggs, Kelces, Aj Browns of the world.    - We also have some ridiculous contracts tied up in the Oline in all the positions not named LT, which is conventionally the highest paid. These players are playing poorly on top of that creating some major salary cap problems.    - We are better in pass rush, but despite adding Yannick and Paye getting better, we are still very mid in terms of pass rush. We need better. Yannick is a one year rental also, no guarantee he will be back.   - We probably need a slot corner to replace Kenny and Gilmore isn't getting any younger.
    • I don't agree with the this topic at all. Some recent history. The Rams had 9 consecutive losing seasons from 1990-1998 then put a grocery bagger in at qb in 1999 and won the Super Bowl(remarkable wasn't it). But wait, it gets better. From 2009-2016 they had 10 consecutive losing seasons then went to the super bowl in the 2018 season with Jarrad Goff at qb(I laugh hysterically every time I think about that)! The Steelers missed the playoffs four times from 1998-2003, put a rookie in at qb in 2004 went 15-1 then won the Super Bowl in 2005. San Francisco had 8 consecutive losing seasons from 2003-2010, then hired Jim Harbaugh in 2011, didn't have a qb but still went to the super bowl in 2012. So with all these examples of fast turnarounds of teams who were absolutely dreadful, how can the Colts be so far away from contention when we are only 4 games under .500 since 2017 and 2 of those seasons Brissett was the quarterback????????? If Kronke, Rooney, and DeBartolo can have quick, impressive turn arounds, why can't Irsay? After all this team is a lot more solid than any of those examples I presented here.
