As far as I can tell from Google it appears Bevell is the clear favorite for the Giants job. Why do we think hes still coming here?

Well, apparently Ballard has been in contact with Bevell for a while now.  Hopefully it pays off, but if history is any indicator (McDaniels) it may not turn out well.

I would be shocked if he backed out but based on how things went last week I think everyone will understand if I withhold my celebration until his press conference.

I think he is a good a choice and kinda wished he had been in the mix the first go around.  Good job by Ballard to make the best of this situation.

Safest choice.  Probably should have been interviewed the first time around.

The whole idea of hiring McDaniels was to maximize and protect Luck with the Patriot offense.  That can still be done, but it will perhaps be done a little differently.

The rest of it?  It's all about talent.  It's up to Ballard.  Hopefully he has a better offseason than he did last year.

I love when people capitalize words on a forum, like it has some sort of forceful impact. It was more than a possibility that Reich would get the Colts job when DeFilippo took the Vikings OC gig. I'm just saying I'm surprised he didn't wait another day or two. That said, maybe the Eagles didn't try to keep him. Obviously, it's impossible for us to know.

REALLY glad you LOVED it

Best loser?  A guy with a Super Bowl ring who has worked with some of the best QBs in the league is a loser?  What about the guy who doesn't have any integrity to keep his word?  I'd say we avoided a loser with McDaniels and got a guy with integrity in Reich.

He’s been dismissed or fired from multiple organizations in his time in the NFL. He didn’t even call the plays in Philadelphia and yeah I think he isn’t going to be successful in Indianapolis.  I don’t see why you bring up a snake like McDaniels.  Just because he’s a winner with no integrity doesn’t make me feel any better about going with a loser who has integrity.  They are both pretty awful options.  Do you disagree?  Do you think Reich is going to return the Colts to greatness?  If so then say so and if not are you just upset that I’m not a delusional fanboy that just falls in line? I don’t think the Colts will be a successful team under Reich. That is my opinion. I hope I am wrong but only time will tell.

didn't know Reich is soft spoken and happy go lucky.  I doubt many motivational speakers are soft spoken.

what are you basing your opinion on?

Articles I have read, input from other fans of teams Reich has been a part of

I am all for expanding the West Coast offense.

He fits what Reich is doing too.

Bring him in!

Priority #1 is protecting Luck physically.  If we can have an actual, real running game like they had in Seattle when they were successful, it would certainly help.

He was fired once. Position coaches often are not retained when the HC gets fired. Don’t change the narrative just cuz you don’t like the hire

Like I said, root for another team if you think the Colts run things badly, it's a simple solution. Otherwise you are Trolling at this point.

If you're referring to the Chargers he was fired and then McCoy got fired a year later.

    • Food for thought… Once again, you continue to be your own worst enemy.     The Colts overall TE room is loaded with young players most of whom have had very little playing time for a variety of reasons.   So if you want to say the room might not be ranked high, that’s fair.    But you don’t say that.  You call them “trash”.  Why you feel that’s appropriate is a mystery.   Whenever you try the internet tough guy approach it typically blows up on you.     No one is trash.     You ignore the last three years and the QB and HC carousel the Colts have dealt with.  All of which has impacted the Colts weapons, especially the TE’s.   Ballard has publicly talked about how promising he thinks his TE room might be.   Woods, Granson, Ogletree, Mallory and MAC.    Only MAC is questionable and that’s because the salary hasn’t matched expectations.  But the first four?   All are promising.   They’re just young and looking for opportunity.  But they are NOT trash.     There’s a difference.
    • Some of the coaches?   That sounds plural to me.   To the best of my knowledge the focus in this community has only been on one coach who may not be maximizing the players the Colts have.   And that’s the defensive coordinator.  He’s been a hot topic of conversation.  But I’m not aware of any other coach being viewed in a negative light.
    • Insane that this has been going on since 2015. From what I gather it’s due to the NFL making Sunday Ticket too expensive on purpose so only a select amount of people can purchase it, forcing most to use CBS and Fox.
    • Many are calling the Pacers pick of Furphy as a huge draft steal. Most projections had him in the top 20 of the 1st round, and even a few felt he could be as early as top 5!    That young man could be a huge contributor for the team next year.
    • Diana Taurasi has been trashing on Clark and Indiana since April. And today the Fever finally had a chance to shut her mouth up. Fever win over the Mercury 88-82.
