The entire D has been bringing it ...

Sacks by 10 different players?   That is great scheme more than anything.

Manusky and the D are really getting it done in a huge way.

Now watch Manusky get a head coaching job somewhere.

Had to work today Glad to hear the defense played great

No,  they played better than great!    Seriously.

Cincy had just TWO first downs at the half and both of those came late in the 2nd quarter.

They had just THREE first downs by the end of the 3rd quarter.    Seriously.    They had trouble moving the ball.

At the end of the game, Cincy had about 135 yards of TOTAL OFFENSE.    That's domination by our defense.

They were everywhere.    Bengals players were typically wrapped up by two, three and sometimes even four Colts defenders.

Complete team defensive effort.    Tremendous.

Sorry you missed it.    If you can see a replay,  please do!     You won't be disappointed.

Amazing what happens when you let a guy develop rather than rush to judgement just so you can have a quick opinion on the guy hunh?

I will tell you who else has been impressive at rushing the passer is Newsome. He's played well in the reps he's gotten.

Newsome and Werner may form a heck of a duo one day. Both are playing well and will only get better.

I could be wrong but I think a lot of this has to do with Manusky.  You can't undervalue what players like Davis or Werner are doing but when so many players are doing so great you have to look at the coordinator.

haha.. The guy (Manusky) has been scolded on here for the past two years, and when guys are finally making plays, nope, it's got to be Manusky. Manusky's job is to get guys in the right position, but it's still up to the players to make the plays. Coming from you, your post doesn't surprise me...

Not sure if Drew had an alternate agenda in this thread or not, but the truth is it's a combination of good scheme, good playcalling and great execution.  So credit should go to the HC, DC, the rest of the defensive staff and the players.   Hell even credit goes to Pep and the offense for starting games faster, running the ball better and overall being able to put together some nice drives that allows the defense to get a lot of rest.

He was apart of the "firing" squad a few weeks back, in terms of the coaches. IF I recall he was also one of the few calling Werner a bust.

I just thought it was funny he was praising Manusky while somewhat discrediting the players. That would be like me taking away some of what Luck did today, and crediting Pep more for the playcalling. Why take the credit away from either? I read his "agenda" pretty clear based off of previous posts of his.

I know he definitely has in other threads.  I just honestly couldn't remember who it was he is against.  so many people with their agendas around here, it can be difficult keeping them all straight :) lol

He played hard evry time he was given a chance here and playingn lights out in Buffalo.

He may have played hard but he didn't play well. Besides I think his parting shot comments and further comments on Irsay left nothing to the imagination when it came to what he thought of the Colts.

Good player, glad he's doing well in Buffalo, but to say he would have done well here is a fallacy.

Good player, glad he's doing well in Buffalo, but to say he would have done well here is a fallacy.

"It's kind of like a slap on the wrist," Buffalo Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes said Wednesday. "But it is what it is. It's the business."

"I'll just let the numbers speak for themselves," Hughes said. "I mean, he's a billionaire, so I'm pretty sure [$500,000] won't hurt too badly."

Those were his comments....He said nothing about the Colts or the brand or even Irsay as a person...He made an observation about the fine and voiced it...Now one could assume he made the comments because of his time here as a Colt....But I mean its a stretch really.....Being a 1st round pick who clearly should have not been a 1st round pick...He had tha raw skillset of a 1st rounder but had a lot of developing to do...But Polian reached....Fans automatically assume (Most) that if your a 1st round pick then your worthy of a 1st round pick and should produce from day one......However that's simply not the case...Its a process.....And for Hughes he was in a no win situation from the time he was drafted...Behind 2 possible hall of famers....Polian even came out and said he should have not drafted him and should have taken Saffold instead

He ran his mouth plenty on the field, that is for sure. Glad he was punnted over to Buffalo.

Almost ALL players run there mouth on the field, We even have several players on the team now that do.....Players got egos...want to win....are competitive...Many will talk
