Was listening to my local station on the radio this morning. They got talking bout the move to LA that could happen. One of the announcers said he had source saying the Colts are interested in the move to LA. Can't find anyone else online mentioning that so true or false?

they can't move without a substantial penalty. Plus i don't think the league would allow it

Im in Canada and from watching the games on tv, i can tell you this organization is not going to find fans in L.A like the ones they have in indy, no way

And I'm in LA and from knowing Los Angeles, I can you tell you all that's a lie. We're very passionate about our sports teams here in L.A.

The only thing I have heard is some nonsense from media hounds. Irsay said on numerous time he was not interested in moving away from Indy. Some reported that Irsay was making threats if he didn't get a new stadium. That is false. Irsay has never made a comment about moving and any reports that he did is just a lie made up from the media. Irsay did put up 150 million dollars of his own money to help the start of LOS. I don't know the exact numbers that Irsay would have to pay to get out of his contract with the city but it would be astronomical.

Lol.
The colts are one of the most locked in franchises in the nfl. What do they have like 20+ years left on the lease, and play in one of the premiere stadiums in all of the nfl.
This rumor was either started by someone who has been under a rock for the past 10 years, or else it's someone hoping to start a rumor to take a potshot at our fan base. Which in itself would be purely out of ignorance.
See 2011, horrible year played in front of a sold out and fully attended home crowd, and our fans stilled traveled well to all the away games. For a 3 win season.
Don't give this *ic rumor legs.
The colts are here to stay. Our city supports this franchise just fine.

If I'm not mistaken the Rams could move nearly penalty-free any time they wish......and they are owned by Stan Kroenke...who already owns all kinds of property in SoCal.

I guess the big question for Kroenke is getting 24 of the 31 other Socialist Republicans (NFL owners) to vote in his favor. Everything I've seen written about St. Louis is that they will contribute zero dollars for any upgrades or new projects.

As for the Colts moving....I'd be astonished if NFL owners would allow THAT scenario to happen. And even though I live less than an hour drive from L.A., I really hope the Colts stay put....you Indy folks deserve it.

Raiders,Chargers,Rams, or Jax.. Mostly teams with stadium issues. If the Luke had not been built, I think the Colts would have already been gone. They were the teams everyone had moving from 1997 through 2004.

Man, that would be interesting if the Chargers moved there.  All the Raider fans in LA would overpower them during the Charger/Raider home game.

Rams owner Stan Kroenke has already bought the old Hollywood racetrack (enough land to to build a stadium).  He already said that he's in the process of having a stadium designed for the property.   Rams would lift right out of St. Louis and would be welcomed by many in LA.  The fanbase wouldn't be as big as the Raiders fan base there but it would be significant.

"Never say never. Remember how the team got there."

Yes remember how the colts got here exactly.
They were playing in front of crowds below 20k sometimes as low as 12k, the city of Baltimore was threatening to seize the colts through eminent domain, and so much more. The stadium was borderline needing condemned.
Instead here we have a situation where The Colts play in one of the most outstanding stadiums in the league, sold out every year with a waiting list.
So yes, remember how they got here.
Smh.
We shouldn't even be having this conversation it's beyond ludicrous lol.

Irsay has a sweet deal here and a new stadium.  This strikes me as complete nonsense.

Who knows what'll happen but it sounds like the Mayor and some committee is gonna try and address the Chargers situation once and for all.

It sounds like another city hall cluster- :cuss: to me.

But by NFL standards, I guess Qualcomm Stadium is a dilapidated toilet. And if Kroenke does bring the Rams back to L.A., it seems like that would lock out or at least highly-complicate a Chargers move and force San Diego and Spanos to quit screwing around and get something done.

thats what Baltimore said

Comparing Baltimore with Indianapolis does not make sense.   Indianapolis has built the Colts two new stadiums and have supported them. Baltimore expected the Colts to play in a stadium that pretty much needed condemned. Even in the Indy Colts thin days they were drawing more fans that what Baltimore was providing at the time. Baltimore lost the Colts and really didn't realize how much they did lose and even after all this time there are still a lot of butt hurt Baltimore fans. Funny how some react after the fact. Now the Ravens are supported and are playing in a nice stadium. It all would have been avoided had the city and the people of Baltimore  supported the Colts in the first place.

True.  I don't blame Irsay for leaving.  If I thought that the government was going to use imminent domain to basically take my team, I'd have left too.  They've got the Ravens, now, and we've got the Colts-Cleveland has its team now.  It all worked out.

My loyalty to the colts would end with a move. If they moved, it would appear their loyalty never existed anyways. Right?

Fans of teams don't deserve the emotional roller coasters they have to go through anyways. Cutting, trading fan favorite players or not resigning them. Making it to the super bowl and then the real fans not being able to afford it unless they spend a few years of travel money for a 3-4 day adventure. No, if they leave, I leave.

RELAX.  The Colts aren't going anywhere.
