I wish I had your optimism, but I'm more of a realist and I don't see how we are going to run the ball or protect Luck for a full game against their pass rush.

what exactly is our o-line missing? a center? we dont even know if holmes is out. ware and miller? ware isnt the pass rusher he use to be and miller has taken a step back the last couple of years.

what is our OL missing...  any sort of proven center?   an above average starter at any position?

Miller played half a season last year.  the year before.. 18.5 sacks.  Ware is past is prime but if you think he's not still skilled enough to get the best of our tackles on occasion, youre crazy.

you really dont pay much attention to our line do you? how many sacks were given up by our tackles as you put it suck? have you seen holmes play to say hes not qualified to be our starting center?

kinda funny that you accuse me of not paying attention, then go on to completely misrepresent my post.

1. I never said our tackles suck.  I said our line lacks an above average starter... and yes, I do believe both of our tackles are average.  I don't care about sack numbers, much of that has to do with Luck's awareness/elusiveness.  it is not a rare sight to see Luck running for his life.

2. again, never said Holmes wasn't qualified.  I said he wasn't proven, which can't really be argued at this point.

"Denver's at full force"

Exactly what is full force? TJ Ward is the only threat I'm see in

Ware is washed up

Talib just needs one shot to the hip and he's out

Von Miller ain't been the same force he was since he got busted so it must've been the performance enhancers helping him or something

Their secondary is trash

Trevathan is out

What full force are you seeing?

Colts win. And yes, I'm a realist. If the real Colts come to play then we are better and will win barring bad officiating intervention.

Idk why thinking we will win is unrealistic to some we put it on Denver last year and our D is better now sure we won't have Mathis but all the others can step up enough for his absence

you do realize chelius was heavily coveted. sound like someone who isnt above average. canstanzo is the best LT we've had since glenn retired. before we had trash like charlie johnson and tony ugoh

we had a 33 to 14 lead last year before our starting secondary dropped like flies and broncos got let back in game. That was with satele at center. shipley, harrison and holmes are better than satele. Not to mention bradshaw, nicks, d allen, and moncrief weren't playing. Wayne didn't play the whole game. Well you say but they added d ware well whoodie doo allen can block him. Well what about miller he was a non factor last year with a worse oline.Welker doesn't scare me. Caldwell doesn't scare me davis shut down thomas, Butler can handle sanders toler should own latimer. let landry ring the other thomas bell when he catches the ball and get him scared like he was versus seahawks.Ball should be shut down by front seven. colts win 43 to 8.

So there you have it, being real is predicting a loss. Got it. In my world, it's not realistic, its safe.

Here is to being unsafe and daring. We will win.....by 4......in the fourth. Our dline wreaks havoc because our secondary is like irritating fly paper.....sticky and impossible to get away from. Trent is a rolling ball of.....you know.

Also, someone who is a fan of another team will somehow make a Brady/Manning comparison. Trent will be dissed, Irsay will be the recipient of a poorly disguised segue designed to get him into the line of written fire.

I was not going to call this game but so be it. I am going to pick the Colts. I have to. Besides, until proven otherwise we own the Broncos. Like we do the Chiefs.

We may miss Mathis a lot. But, I think the offense will show up big time for this one with a chip.

Besides we don't lose two in a row under Luck! Our last loss was in the playoffs to NE. ;)

I still can't believe that someone seriously thinks our O line doesn't have problems...

My head says Broncos, and if you knew what kind of nonsense goes on in there, you would be inclined to think Colts win. Last year I was pretty sure Denver was going to mess us up, much to my delight it was wrong, on the other hand I remember what Peyton did to the Ravens, yikes. I have no score prediction ladies and gents all I have is a hankering for a close competitive game worthy of the attention. Vinny could maybe kick the game winner as time expires. Peyton will be classy no matter the outcome so will Luck that is my prediction.

Biggest difference between last year and this year?

Last year we could press and be physical with Denver's receivers, which Manning has always struggled with (but even more now that he has zero arm strength and has to float hi arc passes to everyone).  This year, I don't think we'll get to be nearly as physical.

Honestly, I fear for Andrew's life behind this banged up OL. And Denver is at full force defensively for the most part.

Broncos win 38-24

Got to agree, Denver will kill us.  I also think Seattle and San Fran will smoke us.  But we should roll over Arizona and St. Louis.

We haven't seen our starting line together to say we have problems. Denver is gonna kill us, their better at everything, enough. Stop acting like Denver is unbeatable

    • Wilson IMO is too much like Downs. Not sure we would want to pick another predominantly slot player.    IMO the players that make the most sense at WR are - AD Mitchell, Ladd(he again plays a bit of slot, but he's also a bit more versatile, he's played about 75% of his snaps in other alignments), Troy Franklin - he can be a Z for us... Jermaine Burton?!? if he's cleared character-wise?? I like Malik Washington but he's predominantly slot too so not sure he's a fit here.
    • While having 6 QBs go in the first 12 picks pushed some talent towards us... it probably also contributed to it being extremely hard for Ballard to trade up. It's just way too hard to make teams move away from QBs or to outbid teams who are bidding for their QB. I think 5 was probably our best chance for trade up... Arizona reportedly completely shut down any offers - they just wanted MHJ and they took him. 5 was probably our best chance, but it probably was way too steep of a price. Giants probably didn't want to move from Nabers, division rival Titans not great trade partner, Atlanta... wanted a freaking QB for some reason?!?!? Then Bears got their dream player drop to them and IMO that was probably the last chance we had.
    • I wouldn't mind if we traded up early if we picked one of these three players: 1. Texas A&M LB Edgerrin Cooper 2. Iowa CB Cooper DeJean 3. Texas WR Adonai Mitchell
    • Round 2/3 Wishlist 1. Texas A&M LB Edgerrin Cooper 2. Iowa CB Cooper DeJean 3. Texas WR Adonai Mitchell 4. Rutgers CB Max Melton 5. Michigan LB Junior Colson 6. Western Kentucky WR Malachi Corley 7. Minnesota S Tyler Nubin 8. Iowa State CB T.J. Tampa 9.Oregon WR Troy Franklin
    • Finally CB drafted a Edge with production, not only high RAS. But then it's a guy with big injury concerns. Anyway....any player can get a serious injury on any given play. So, welcome to Indy! Give everything you have on the field and stay healthy!   Gotta find a DB and WR in round 2. Think DeJean is still on the board?! Round 2 is probably where his value is.
