Chris Ballard gets an A+ for signing John Simon

Why? He can't force players to sign, we dont even know if Zeitler had interest in Indy or if Indy had interest in him.

We don't know but we had the money and we went after defense.  If he wanted to address the OL with quality FA he could have.  The vast majority of FA are there for the payday.  Money wins out unless your an older FA looking for a SB. Like Gore.

Good Lord,   you have no idea,  like all of us,  what the offer was we gave to him.   Why always on the hypothetical negative.   Simon had a great game,   that's what this thread is about

He was my "call out" guy from Superman's Call Out thread, and only because I expect so much from him.

I think he's quickly gonna become a fan favorite.

He's already one of my favorites. Best pass rusher the Colts have had in a while. Pretty good against the run too.

He does get an A for Simon.  He had a great game and he probably was our best signing signing along with Hankins and Woods.  We spent our money on defense.   Looks like he thought our OL line was fixed.  Irsay even said so.  It's a long season.  We'll see.

You have no clue if we made an offer and it got rejected. It's highly likely that he took the colts offer and went to the ravens and said match it or I sign with them.

Looked like his arm bounced of the QB's shoulder pass and just brushed his helmet. A ridiculous call IMO.

Yeah, it was Palmer's arm momentum that caused sheards hand to graze the facemask. Sheard had several pressures and a couple nice run stops. Hopefully he will continue to improve.

Can you imagine if that pass was incomplete and they awarded a first down due to that penalty ?

Twitter rumblings from around the time he signed suggested we had a similar offer and Zietler just chose to sign in Cleveland instead. In fact the Browns have the most expensive O-Line in the league and yet they have surrendered 10 sacks in 2 games already.

Sheard did ok today aside the penalty

Which ought not have been called a penalty.  He hit the QB's arm which pushed sheard's hand into the QB's own helmet and face mask.  No foul.  Bad call.

Oops, edit for the offside clarification.  Sorry.
