Which animals would be best suited to play any given position?

Let's try to keep this as realistic as possible and disqualify and type of fake mythological creatures (so the lochness monster is disqualified, but you can use real animals like lions, bears, bigfoots, and giraffes.) and let's assume these animals woulns't try to eat each other.

I figured you can put a cheetah at QB and just run the wildcat every play, so you don't have to worry about throwing.

I'd probably have gorilla at RB seeing as how he opposable thumbs he has a very low chance of fumbling.

Hippos on the o-line.

Rhinos on the d-line.

I though about putting lions at cornerback, but i question their change of direction ability.

Thoughts?

LOL

This is how you plan to spend your time between now and next Thursday? Are you having mock draft withdrawal already? You're never gonna make it.

I'd put gorillas on the OL. I'd use a large bird at receiver (you didn't specify that extinct animals are disqualified, but I'm assuming a pterodactyl isn't allowed; if so, that's my Z receiver). Giraffe at safety.

I can't believe this.

I was watching tape of some random Division-3 safety who wont be drafted or likely even see an NFL field and my brain pretty much exploded and turned to mush and realized that was probably my breaking point.

I'm pretty much finished with draft eval at this point.

Nah, who am I kidding, i'll probably finishing watching that tape tomorrow.

I'm going to remove rhinos, hippos, and elephants to prevent ridiculous mismatches.

Chimpanzees for QB (opposable thumbs and brains)

Gorillas for O-line

Brown bears for RB (true beast mode and quite fast)

Orangutans for TE

Patas monkeys for WR (fastest primate)

Gorillas on D-line

African lions LB

African leopards S

Cheetahs CB

Horse for K?

Basically cats on defense and primates on offense. This is a ridiculous thread. I like it.

Rhinos on the D-Line, Lions as the Edge rushers, Tigers as ILB's, Pit Bulls as safeties, Cheetahs as CB's. On offense Hippos on the O-line, A Bull at RB. I don't know about the rest.

I put the bull at the fullback position, but maybe he can be the goaline/3rd down back on my team.  Right now the Horse is getting first and second down snaps at HB.

That is the first thing I thought of when I saw this post yesterday. Lol. However, the cat is stretching with the left arm/limb rather than the right arm as Beckham did.

He's also standing on the ground while Beckham is jumping. . . Minor details my friend.

Stonefish or poison dart frogs at all skill positions.....any skin contact while tackling them and you either get sicker than hell or die.

Let's see you scheme for THAT offense, Belichimp. :P

That's cheating :P

    • The criteria is the Colts want to keep you but you’re a fringe player. It all comes down to how much the Colts like your nephew. He could surprise and if he does they may not want to put him on the PS out of fear of losing him to another team. The good thing is the Colts love their oline players, and will keep lower level draft picks/UDFA lineman over other positions. There’s quite a few later round guys the colts have kept on that have shown to be pretty good level guys with bright futures.    there’s not really any criteria for being signed to the PS other than they want to see how much better a guy can get over there.    most of the time, an older guy is either ineligible for the PS because of how many games he’s started, or it’s not worth it because you see what the guy is over what he can become (as he’s been in the league a while).   odds are the younger guy gets signed to the ps over the older guy.
    • Remember all those years we watched Mannings fluttering passes downfield? 100 Int's even over his 1st 5 seasons. Not counting many Playoff interception disasters.  No flutters for AR ! Just less closing time for the D.
    • I just read the article on Stampede Blue.  It’s an old clip of him dunking.     I’m pretty sure they told him not to do that during this time.  He did say he’d be throwing with the guys.
    • I am always impressed with the knowledge on this forum so I thought I would ask a question about the practice squad as opposed to trying to figure it out on my own.   We have a UDFA Dalton Tucker on the OL (Guard Tackle) Currently listed as 3rd team behind Q and Stills. He is my nephew-in-law and a great young man. He is a good OL with a lot of flexibility or otherwise the Colts would not have signed him. However would be a very long shot to make the team at this time due to the returning player and two OL draft picks.  The question is how many OL do we normally keep on the Practice Squad and what are the criteria? In all my years of following the Colts have just not paid attention to the details. If it came down to Stills or Dalton for the PS is Stills or Pinter eligible and would you put a more veteran player on the PS or would you prefer a younger player assuming you thought he could develop? Pay-wise do all PS players get the same? I also understand that PS players attend home games on the sidelines and practice with the team since they are designated as practice squad. Any information is appreciated as I will be following this aspect a lot closer this fall.
    • I thought he said he wasn’t going to play BB?  How old is that video?
