Looks like a normal Ballard draft guy. Zero effect on the game. Another wait and see guy to add to the list.

Or maybe just a guy that had 1 week of practice in him after returning from an achilles injury with no TC or live NFL experience?

Its taken Fisher a few weeks to actually look good out there and he's a veteran pro-bowler. A rookie might just take a little longer.

Eric Fisher had a very strong game yesterday. Just 2 pressures on 60 pass attempts. I was a little sceptical about him early on, but he is improving alot each week.

Our d ends are so good we don't even need Dayo. Lets just let him heal and ride the bench 4 years till his rookie contract is up, then re-sign him to a massive contract. Ballard only drafts the best d ends, so he must be a pro bowler.

Doesn't mean we have to like it!!! :P

Remember how, for years, Ballard repeatedly mentioned there were only one or two usable pieces on defense when he arrived?  Five years in, this defense is marginally better than that one.  Statistically they are, I suppose, but against high end passing games, I trust them about the same.

i didn't watch the game. did he look good or maybe have potential

As i recall, seems no one else here can find a kind word, Dayo, on his very first play, totally controlled his opponent. He maintained leverage outside, and drove his man back full diesel. He did it again later, pressuring the QB with the tackles body. NICE!!! He looked Powerful!

It's all good. Some fans are seeming to refuse delayed gratification because we must be miserable now. Kind of used to it.

You never know how good any team will be till you lace'm up and see how injuries affect your team.
I dreamed we could go 11-5. But all things considered Not Counting what happened to wentz and Q in pre-season and our schedule 7-9 wins was more likely. As you know i have been tempering expectations before the season started regarding this being a building experience together season.
I look forward, with a little less enthusiasm for a big season, to watching our young guys get better. Pittman and Okereke are coming on. That is Very Exciting. Wentz will improve with reps. And so will  Kwity and Oboeieio. :spit:
 I will be watching.

Titans mid season was a tough game to make first start.  Jets and Jags next two games should be favorable to get acclimated.   I understand he is coming back from injury but he is needed.  Hopefully Dayo will continue to improve and make some plays.  Him and Kwitty are the future and coach’s jobs are riding on their development.  Hopefully we can see him get to 35-40 snaps a game.

Agreed, but if we think he is going to be screaming around the left end with blazing speed, he isnt the guy

He needs to learn some pass rush moves

If you look at his tape, most of his sacks were coverage sacks

He has a very large wing span which should help him on run downs

I think he his best value will be when he and Buckner can both inside rush

We are STILL in need of a pass rush specialist for the  3rd and long as well as rotation with Paye, who I have hopes for

Hopefully we can grab a player in offseason.

Maybe its a "too light" fast guy, that can change up some things

maybe the only one we have that can turn into that guy is Turay. I'm not sure about Ben B unless something happens this year with him don't see him on the team next year

    • I think people underestimate Flowers' ability to be a shut down corner. If he stays healthy he will have a breakout season imo.    I love our D-line and think they are top 5 in the league. I have high hopes for Latu and think he will deliver double digit sacks, even as a rookie. His pass rush win% in college was top notch, Bosa-esque, if not better. He is DPOY material.    Our LB's are solid and we will probably sign a proven vet at safety.
    • A lot is going to depend on the health of the secondary. Not a fan of the defense playing 10 yards off the WR either.
    • Gus’s problem is that he rarely blitzes a qb and relies too much on the front 4 to put the pressure on the qb! Every qb has basically smoked a cigarette and taken a nap before a Colts defender can even breathe on them! Im not saying to blitz every play, just mix it up enough to get in the qbs head! Open gaps for lbs to get through, especially in the middle against slower pocket passing qbs. Gus has been around too long and will be too stubborn to change though!😒
    • Besides the Pacers shooting yesterday, what really stood out to me was they didn't wilt in the big moment of playing in a Game 7 at NY - that shows Mental toughness. Haliburton was playing like it was a just another regular season game and just doing his thing. Also, the Pacers weren't getting bullied inside, Turner and Pascal did the bullying for a change. They are finesse players that usually just care about scoring mostly but yesterday they were banging down low and played really aggressive.
    • Yeah, Cus Bradley yes I said Cus I'm not a fan of his scheme if you want to call it that. So it doesn't matter who we have in the secondary it won't help. We could bring back these players in their youth again like Dion Sanders and Darrel Green and it wouldn't matter in my mind. I don't know why we hold on to a DC who has been 28 in total defense for two years. Bring in a DC with an innovative smart scheme that would confuse offenses. But what we have now is a defense that a JR high team could figure out. So yes the defense is a huge concern. We are going to have out-score teams which means our offense can make very little mistakes.
