He never put it away or secured it.

Catch, 2 feet, time or football move

So it was possession, then he fumbled it then.

Yes

I thought that in order for it to be a catch you must gain control to the ground

After possession was established, It was a fumble and recovery.

Disagree. Peters had control. Be mad at Rivers. Poor throw.  God I yearn for a mobile qb. Rivers limits this offense and puts so much pressure on the Oline.

I agree that was a bad pass but that was not a catch. The ball was not secured.

They have to figure out how to defend that middle area. Last 3 first down passes have resulted in huge chunks of yards.

This is where I get frustrated with our Pass D scheme, playing soft coverage without any jamming lets those receivers get to their spots without any disruption

IDK man. going to the ground is not a football move.

and IMO, that was a 50/50 ball. Johnson didn't track the ball at all and jump timing was off.

that's a ball a guy like Claypool easily gets.

Just now, coming on strong said:

i told you they had zero chance of stopping them .  the defense is flat right now hopefully they can play better later they need a break .

Yeah, you're probably right.  Just like the previous possession.  I guess they should have just let them score then as well, right?

lol...

    • we're back to the days of the backup QB being the most popular guy in town. feels like the eighties/early nineties all over again   ala Captain Comeback   😁
    • There's a boatload of money in sports medicine & in geriatric medicine. But geriatric sports medicine is where doctors & nurses become billionaires!
    • Back to the geriatric QB club...yaay
    • For all those people who say great athletes "they can throw really far", if you think AR is just that, it's a little naive.  He hit THREE 50 yard plus bombs his first game this year.   In not sure how many QBs have done that in a single game in their lifetime.   The longest bomb he hit Pierce in stride.   It was INCREDIBLE.  Is he perfect?  No.  He's a work in progress.  Yes, the Peyron Manning comparable are laughable.  AR is no where near as talented as Manning was coming out of college.  Anyone who makes comparisons of those two is fooling themselves.  A better comp is Allen.  Hell,  even Lamar Jackson used to get hurt frequently,  until he figured out how to avoid contact.  If AR doesn't figure out that his availability is his number one asset, he won't last in this league.  And while we all have our opinions, let's stand behind Anthony Richardson as long as he dons the shoe!  If you are a true Colts fan, you should want all our players to do well, especially our QB!  Lastly, I was on the side of letting him learn on the fly because he needs the reps, but I'm starting to wonder if he's not mature enough to handle it and needs to sit behind a vet for another year.  Go Colts!
