I feel very comfortable with Smith as the RT.

His 80.6 last season was his highest grade thus far. IIRC, his run blocking got better, but his pass pro took a hit in terms of sacks, but not really in terms of overall pressures. But overall, he graded slightly better than 2020 and 2019. -
I didn't know about the possible Cavs pick. I just googled it. Are you sure that wasn't for last season?

He gets too political..... I'm guessing that is at least part of why his contract wasn't picked up again. And the Athletic has been going through changes. They've never been profitable. Their goal was to use venture capital, grow subs, and sell. And that's what happened. NYTs bought them. They were also losing subs due to too much politics. So much, that leadership actually had to lay down the law and tell the writers to start writing more about sports, and less about woke opinions. -
I'm not going to look it up again as I have already many times. Before last season his number were amazing. He went, maybe 2 seasons, without giving up a sack. He is also a great run blocking RT. Smith is great at pass blocking and your hypothetical does not scare me at all.
