He hasn’t yet has he?  Though he did miss the game winning field goal last week in Pittsburgh that would have beat one of the teams I despise the most.

I won’t thank him actually because in my opinion he owes the team to do his job...especially when his incompetence puts us in that situation in the first place.

The kick Rhodes admits was his fault?  That kick?

XP's should be gimme's tho. He's making 60% of them this year. That's the issue

Yes, they should be gimmies and his performance on PATs has been woefully inadequate.  But if you're going to cut him and bring in a kicker off the street, that kicker needs to be able to do more than just hit PATs........unless you're planning on bringing in a PAT specialist.

If AV was completely shot, I would agree with you.  But he's not.  He's just very inconsistent.  On any given kick, he can miss a PAT or drill a 50+ yarder.  I don't know what the deal is with that, but I know that you can't just replace him with somebody off the street in the middle of the season.

I thought I read that Brissett is about 85% healthy and would’ve played if this was a playoff game.

So sitting him thinking the Miami game was a pushover could cost us playoff positioning.  That would hurt.

I’d rather play an 85% Brissett than a 100% Hoyer

An inconsistent kicker is a liability in this league.

I would rather a 50% Peterman than this scrub.

Most kickers in the league could of made those kicks so stop defending a kicker that isn't good or reliable anymore.

But most kickers in the league are already in the league and with teams.  Who are you going to replace him with if you cut him tomorrow?  The point wasn't whether other kickers in the league can make those kicks.  It is about whether somebody that you bring in off the street tomorrow can make them.
