I don't know, I think it should be someone with close ties to Indianapolis, and I'm not a local so I feel like an imposter trying to come up with a real answer. But the obvious answer is Peyton Manning. This will never happen, for two primary reasons: 1) Irsay probably is not going to make this kind of organizational adjustment; and 2) Peyton Manning will never again put himself in a position where he can be fired by Jim Irsay (or anyone else, probably). But if you want someone with deep ties to the area, who commands respect, has been successful with business ventures, who can fundraise and stimulate enthusiasm related to the Colts, and who understands the dynamics of the game and the league, I think he's the first phone call. After that, I'm putting together an advisory board, with Manning, Polian, etc., who can give me a list of qualified candidates. Other than that, I'm looking for VP types who have ties to or the endorsement of the Rooneys, Maras, and other NFL founding families.

Bingo. And again only 2 rookies have played all year for the most part due to earning it. Not because of injuries to other players. Latu and Mitchell, and even then neither has done much of anything. So if those 2 earned it? How bad is our team? Because they have done nothing. But Ballard is a draft guru right? Latu is weak. Soft. Looks like he should be hanging out on a street corner in Bakersfield CA. Does not look like an elite edge rusher to me. Mitchell I kind of like but he needs major improvement. But I at least see potential with him. The other draft picks of 2024 just look like jags. -
A runner is not allowed to grab....and hold..... the face mask of the defender. In this case, the runner simply pushed Jones' face mask, but did so violently and persistently it ended up taking off his helmet. I think that is a penalty. Refs missed it, IMO.

The one good thing about a new GM is colts aren’t in salary cap trouble or anything. So maybe it wouldn’t be as bad a rebuild as some. A new GM could be very happy with AR too so they wouldn’t need to try to find any high draft picks anywhere. -

8 years with Ballard and nothing has changed. Zip. Which is why we are stuck in no where land. 8 years of this and no one asks for a change? It is insanity. He has played the same type of players, run the same system, drafted the same type of players, and hired the same type of coaches since he has been here. Supposed offensive gurus who instead seem as if they know nothing about offense other than a run up the middle and a deep out route. No innovation at all. And I am talking Reich and SS. And neither seem good at developing a QB. Further, both seem to placate to the media by saying it is "on them" instead of holding players accountable. So their go to is to just play older vets. It all gets very very old. Same as our QBs. Which Ballard loves. In the NFL you can rebuild a team in 2 years if needed. Ballard won't do that because he is content drafting and signing his "own guys" and paying them like superstars so he can say they are a good team. In reality he a under .500 GM. Again, after 8 years. Cmon mannnnnnnnnnnnnn.
