You mean the one who throws inaccurately on crossing routes, continuously misses high, and can't throw the fade.  I was hoping the shoulder surgery would make him better than 100%.

It still may but if you are going to bash him being funny, don't forget to mention his 46-30 record and 3 Playoff wins by throwing high and cant throw a fade

I'm not bashing him.  I'm merely pointing out that he had throwing issues before he had shoulder problems, so what is the definition of 100%?

Not sure what the definition is but if he takes a year off I would think he would be refreshed. Might be rusty though??

If he comes back and misses receivers high, and doesn't hit them in stride on crossing routes, and cant throw a fade, this forum will blame the shoulder injury and incompetent doctors....and Irsay.

And so will Kravitz and Doyel.

Like you said he already does that anyway AT TIMES but overall he has had a Good career so far and has many great clutch winning throws. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

The Colts never really say anything they were shady when Edge tore his ACL in 2001

Manning's neck in 2011

And now 2017 Andrew Luck.

Jimbo thinks he's smarter than other people for some reason(the drugs help I guess)

For all the talk of the Pats being liars about this sort of thing the Colts honestly have been worse.

How is not saying anything worse than lying?

Jay Glazer reported that Luck felt pain after throwing a couple weeks ago and he is now visiting with specialists trying to find answers as to why. If they are unable to get answers the team plans to shut down Luck. Sounds a little more serious then just your normal soreness.  Bob Kravitz has also retweeted the information. A similar topic was locked earlier due to supposedly no sources confirming this.

I've still yet to find a single credible source to this outside of Jay glazer who isn't the most reliable source on colts inside sources. Everyone (Kravitz, Doyle etc) is retweeting Jays tweet

IMO he'll be shut down for the season very soon. I won't even be too shocked to hear if he has another procedure. Like I said earlier in the offseason, these surgeries are unpredictable and some people never come back. But lets just hope that Andrew can overcome and return as close to 100% as possible in 2018.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Colts were just blowing smoke all season, but in reality, they never intended for Luck to play this season.

There's no way Jim Irsay is sending his $140 million dollar QB out there with that line this season.

He's not risking his franchise QB by having him play in a couple of meaningful games.

Sorry. Luck was never playing in 17'

So do you think Irsay intentionally lied when he said he expected Luck back very early in the season?  If so, that's a dirty way to sell tickets.  The honest thing would have been to keep his mouth shut about it. All of this is assuming that he knew that Luck most likely wouldn't play this season.

At 2-6 I would shut him down now so he will be 100% next season with another Draft and a new Coach. This season is over IMO at 2-6.

But shutting him down now does NOT guarantee he'll be 100% next year.

That's why I want him to play any games he can.

He needs to now if he's okay before the off-season if thats possible

If anything, the coaching staff has done exactly what they should do. "Staying in their lane" which is to say focus on the things you can control...

Exactly.....they don't know..Andrew does not know

They cant tell us anything because they don't know

I would expect a professional QB coming off shoulder surgery, to be in contact with specialist during the entire recovery process. I would be more surprised, if this is actually his first visit with a specialist, to be honest. This sounds like a rumour being completely blown out of proportion.

I think everyone's concern is that the reason he went back to a specialist is because he was experiencing bad pain after he tried throwing again.  Maybe that's normal, maybe not.  Time will tell.  Either way, we won't know what's going on, as Irsay will try to sell as many season tickets for next year as possible.

We may find ourselves able to draft a future star qb. The 2018 draft looks loaded. Hopefully by the time the draft rolls around next Spring Luck’s future will be clear. I still think he may decide his body has taken enough abuse.

I think I’ve seen that movie before.

I think certain people know more than they are letting on.

I doubt it. Again, this all started with some random twitter poster posting something on dakichs wall that got picked up turned into Jays tweet which has yet to be confirmed by any actually credible sources. Until official word comes out, you all could quite possibly be freaking out over nothing.

Except he lied by saying Luck would be back.

Just like he did with Manning before that.

He didn't want to lose out on ticket sales if people knew Luck wasn't playing he knows how fairweathered this fanbase is.

If people knew Luck wasn't playing the only games that would be sold out would be

1) The 49ers because Manning's number would be retired

2) Steelers- Which would have mostly Steelers fans

Good luck getting 6 other games sold out. Although the Texans have a great offense people might want to watch that.

For starters, do you know for a FACT that he knew Luck was gonna be out most of the season?

Only post I fouund-

It is Not unusual to feel pain when ramping up football workouts. (EDIT: after this surgery)  I like how seeking opinions is now seeing a specialist...  next we'll see folks claim that the Colts front office forced/called the pick 6 play, knowing it would be a pick 6; preserving the loss...  :groan:

I'm surprised that either -

Luck has not contacted Dr. James Andrews, Drew Brees, and Drew Brees physical therapist and athletic trainer(s).  or...

That nobody knew about  or reported the news if it did happen already.

I would have (maybe he has too)

I think right now people are creating mountains in their minds.  My fear is soon a whole conspiracy theory with Pagano's retention, Luck's worse than thought condition wasknown and hidden  the attempt to ride with Tolzien, and the lack of getting a 'better' QB until the season was underway was all a mastermind plot...:hairout: to tank without looking like their tanking...  {Sigh}

I don't comment on rumors, so I'm moving on

Yep, only post anywhere about it. If you look on that dudes page, you'll see the post where some random poster brought it up about 10 minutes prior to Jay tweeting about it. So his "source" is some random twitter dude.

Sadly, all those conspiracies you posted about, have been mentioned on this forum

and it was reported that he reached out to Drew Brees on this

Well you don't know for a fact he was going to be back either except from Irsay's word saying he would be back at the beginning of the season.. then mid season (which is now) now he has a .. setback.

It would be one thing if this didn't happen before(Manning) but it did and its going to same path(except its a shoulder and not a neck and Luck is considerably younger)

He is seeing specialists, in fact he is seeing multiple shoulder specialists in the coming days. This from Stephen Holder from the Indy Star. Just more comfirmation to go along with Glazers report, since some refuse to believe it. Holder says the cortizone shot has not helped and that Luck is not close to returning to practice.
