If it's not the refs, it's bounces.

If it's not bounces, it's the other team doing stuff beyond stupid.

If it's not the other team doing stuff beyond stupid, it's some combination of the above.

Are the Patriots a great team? Yes. That I can handle. What  I can't handle is the other stupid garbage that leads to them winning 99% of the time. Meanwhile, we swim in a sea of stupidity of our own. Nice knowing you guys, I quit the NFL.

Hey, hate the Pat's all you want. THAT was a stunner and an exciting finish. These kind of games are what football is all about... I just hope we can reach that trophy again, we've got work to do.

The NFL is slowly becoming reruns of TV show no one cars about. "Here's episode 3 of Joey, enjoy!"

Ugh.. Just brutal.

Kills me to say it, but the "best qb of all time" debate is over. It's going to take me a while to digest this one... and I don't even like the Falcons.

Joe Montana was eventually dethroned. So to shall Brady.

I hate to say, but you really couldn't have written a better storybook ending for the Patriots:

Overcoming the commissioner who hates them, a suspended QB, down a record number of Superbowl points, even missing a PAT, entering and winning the first and only overtime in Superbowl History. For the Patriots, it was by every definition of the term, a perfect ending.

Words cant describe the pain im feeling with this one. As if pats fans werent annoying enough already......the offseason will be as painful as ever now.

Nah. It's the off season. I prefer to ignore the patriots unless the colts are playing them. I live in Indiana. Not a lot of patriots fans around here to worry about.

Goodall was in bed with this team until he was held accountable and forced to do something.  He made his bed now he can lay in all of this garbage.

A perfect ending would be the patriots ending.

The commissioner only hates them because they cheated....repeatedly. This is no redemption.

Oh don't you worry, they'll be sure to remind us. At every turn.

Until the end of time.

Now we've gotten a head start on it here.

Oh god. Kill me now.

    • I saw the media tried to make it out that the Celtics had an easy path to the finals. They went 64-18 during the season and 16-3 in the postseason. That is absolute domination from start to finish. Awesome to see Indiana native Brad Stevens get his first ring!!  I hope the Pacers close the gap and look forward to battling the Celtics the next few years.
    • I do agree about the great OL and play caller.    The DL will come down whether Latu is a legit stud pass rusher right away. JT has been a great RB, but not the past two years. The receivers are solid, but seems like most teams have good-great WR groups anymore.    This feels like a "if everything goes right" kind of thing. But it's the offseason.
    • Sure. It's possible that teams could have had boards that included many WRs as R1 grades, including Mitchell, and they just chose one over him. I worded that weirdly, but what I meant was that teams that didn't have him as a R1 player, it was for reasons beyond the rumors in this article.   But the "surefire first rounder until he was done dirty by rumors" doesn't track.    We know that AD ranked poorly in some advanced metrics (like yards per route run) that typically operate as requisites for successful NFL WRs (outliers are rare). We know what some team scouts had concerns from his Combine drills. And we know what happened at the draft.    And those comments that McGinn published weren't even his thoughts...they too were from NFL scouts.   Seems like the easiest and logical explanation is that teams had legit concerns (for multiple reasons) about AD and that, not rumors, is what pushed him down in the draft. But Destin seems to be spinning a couple of those concerns (that Ballard had addressed) to drive his narrative.
    • Thanks @TheNewGuy   You’re right, nothing new to us in the article.  But it’s nice to read anything from the national media about the Colts.     I for one love it that most of the talking heads rarely mention the Colts.  But I’m guessing that media coverage will increase exponentially as the season goes on!   (However, I was also very excited when we got Matt Ryan.  So I may not be the best prognosticator…)
    • But… they didn’t.  Banner #18!! This team has the potential to dominate for the next 4-5 seasons.  We will see what happens, but this was one of the best NBA teams of all time.
