2016 Colts Forum Mock Draft 2.0

In an effort to get a forum-wide draft going on that doesn't take a long time to complete, I'm going to start a new draft with slightly different rules.  In general, the rules will be the same as the one for the original draft.  Please see below:

 

The Rules:

1. Each owner may sign up for multiple teams, but this will happen in steps so we can maximize the number of people we have while minimizing the time it takes to pick.  For the first 2 hours (now-8:30 PM EDT), each owner can only sign up for 1 team.  For the two hours after that (8:30 PM-10:30 PM EDT), owners can sign up for a second team.  For the 2 hours after that (10:30 PM EDT-12:30 PM EDT), owners can sign up for a third and final team if they wish.  Each owner can sign up for a maximum of three teams.  I am using this method so we can have as many frequent forum users as possible.

 

If you sign up for multiple teams, please note the conditions:

a) You must have one team from each conference

b) You cannot pick two teams from the same division

 

As such, it is against the rules to take the Jets as your first team and the Raiders as your second, but it is ok to take the Jets as your first team, an NFC team as your second team, and the Raiders as your third team.

 

Given this rule, there will inevitably be people who will be left without a team in this draft.  Because of this, owners with multiple teams will be in charge of giving their teams away, if they so wish.  For example, if I have 3 teams and someone sends me a PM asking me for a team, I can give them a team if I want to/if they browse the forums constantly enough that it wouldn't slow progress down.  However, this can only be done before making any picks.  If I own three teams and I've drafted or made trades for 2 of them, I can only give away the third team.  Once again, this is solely up to the original owner and you are under no obligation to give your team away to anyone if you don't wish to.  If you have chosen three teams and make or trade a pick for all three, you are obligated to complete the draft for all teams.

 

2. As with the other draft, all trades will need the public confirmation of both parties.  You can trade any draft picks from this year and next.  Please discuss all trades via PM so as to keep this thread as organized as possible.  Something to note for those with multiple teams, you can trade with yourself, provided the trades match in value.  All trades are subject to the veto vote rules of the original draft.

 

3. Time limits for picks are as follows:

Round 1: 8 hours

Round 2: 6 hours

Round 3 and beyond: 4 hours

If a pick is not made in that time, we will give the owner on the clock the highest ranked player on the big board and make it as realistic as possible (eg. the Panthers won't be given a QB if that is the highest ranked player on the board).  The sleep time is (12:00 AM EDT-6:00 AM EDT) and these 6 hours will not count against the time for the team on the clock.

 

4. It is currently undetermined how many rounds we will have.  It will depend on how smoothly things go and what people want.

 

5. The first round of this draft will begin after the first round of the original draft ends.

The whole point of this new draft is that we don't have to wait a long time for people to make their picks.  If we had to wait 10 hours for someone to say they want their original team from the other draft, it would be counterproductive.
