The original intention was to keep it to just draft picks, but I think it would be more fun if we allowed players to be traded as well.  I'm all for it if everyone else is

Ok. I will check back to see what you decide.  Thanks.

@21isSuperman Are we allowed to trade active players (reasonable trades,  of course)?

Any objections to trading players?  As with trades, 3 veto/objection votes means we won't do it

Im not fine with it this late in the draft because it affects positions of need for a team and the team behind it that anticipated a player being there prior to the trade would have to scamper for a last minute trade that they may have had time to plan had it been prior to the draft starting.

I'd have to say trading draft picks can be done during the draft while trading active players is best done before the draft starts.

The Giants have a new head coach who was their offensive coordinator in years past.  In addition, Eli is 35 and we need to surround him with more talent.  We re-signed JPP and brought in Olivier Vernon to add some defensive talent.  In addition, we signed Janoris Jenkins and Snacks Harrison to bolster our defense even more.  We love what we have in ODB/OBJ, but we don't think we can rely on Victor Cruz as our #2 receiver after Randle left.  As such, with the 12th pick in the draft, the Giants select Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss

@Superman and the Dolphins are on the clock

There is a trade to announce.

@NFLfan and the Vikings receive: 2nd round pick

@jvan1973 and the Cowboys receive: Adrian Peterson

Both GMs please confirm this trade

Personally, I love it since it's a big name switching places.  However, as with all trades, this is subject to the veto rule.

Confirmed

I confirm.    The Vikings also agree to take half of ADs remaining salary

Not even close to the volume of draft day pick trades, IMO. The big reason is working out salaries of established players. Patriots don't wake up on draft day and decide to trade Chandler Jones and so on...

Unless someone one pulks an Eli like stunt on draft day, most teams have already worked out trades for established players. Most trades are for drafted players if players are involved.

Is it fun? Yes it is. Is it realistic? I barely think so. But I'll go with it.
