oh my.

so much going on in my head.

are we trading a WR before the season?

Are we going to run with some 4 WR sets and open things for the run game?

Are we gonna run the score up and hope our defense can stall the opponents?

This is wild!

My last hope is that we're trading up in the 2nd to grab some run stoppers.

I'm not able to wrap my head around this decision to beef up our deepest unit.

Grigs....dude......Trent, Werner, and now this? His best 1st round pick was a gimme in Luck.

Stupid

What's wrong with Grigson? How do you pick a WR, when we have glaring needs at OL, DL and S and have plenty of talent at WR?

Unreal.

You're not getting it! Its NOT...NOT according to need!!! Its BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE!!! Thats the fundamental flaw alot of people have. They base their thoughts and projections on need. Thats not how it works though.

And run stoppers are one dimensional players. Not 1st round material.

I was surprised but I'm not going to melt down like everyone on here. Carter is unproven, TY will demand big $$ after next season, AJ is old, Moncrief is still rough around the edges, probably won't keep both TEs...we have 9 picks, well 8 now. Plenty of time to find diamonds in the rough. Would have liked to see defense, but I'm not a GM.

I don't hate Dorsett, but I have a hard time seeing the value in the pick with the logjam at the position. Our passing game hasn't been the issue and would've much rather gone defense.

You gotta think...Carter is no guarantee at all. He's got alot to prove. And Andre will be here a maybe 2 years. After that we have Hilton and Moncrief so another option at WR isn't a bad thing really. Is it our biggest need? No way!!! But its not about that. That's what people fail to understand.

How? They lost Revis. Is their puny 10mil safety gonna cover TY, AJ, Moncrief and fresh legs Dorsett, all by himself?

Their defense isn't gonna be on the field much if they run the ball down our throats

absolutely hate the pick.. I like Dorsett and had him in many of my drafts but no where near the 1st..Over Drafted IMO... A need we did not need in thje 1st... WR are DEEP in this draft!!!!! . Lucks needs better Oline.. no time he makes bad decisions... can't stop the run.. had Brown and Goldman available.. had Saftey's avaiable.. no we choose a WR.. looks like we have Peyton 2.0 Offense and No real Defense... I know they seem to be happy with our Dline with Chappy Kerr and Hughes.. my question to Grigs is  .. Why didn't we use them to Stop the Patriots, Cowboys, Steelers  last year????????? or Did We????????????

Let's see how the whole draft plays out before losing our minds. BPA is the way to go. We seem to overrate our WR corps. TY can be erased, Reggie was a shell (I know he's gone), AJ may have lost a step, Moncrief is still developing, and Carter hasn't done anything in the NFL yet. Now if we don't go D line or O line in the 2nd round I'll start to wonder....

No but their scumbag RB is gonna run all over us again.

Picking a D Lineman alone would not change the Patriots running all over us, They ran all over us primarily because the scheme they employed to run the ball was near genius

    • You're right.   He's easily 3-4 feet off the ground when he's dunking.   He could come down and tear an ACL
    • As a hockey fan, I really do look forward to seeing how a line change that Ballard and Dodds have touched on works. If they can sub an entire line in and out without much change in performance, this d-line will be wrecking o-lines in every 4th quarter throughout the season.   Combine that with an explosive run game and offense that can wear defenses down, and we will win most of battles of attrition, which will get more and more in depth as the season progresses. A little luck (never a pun intended) especially with health could put this team in position to be dangerous in the postseason.
    • The criteria is the Colts want to keep you but you’re a fringe player. It all comes down to how much the Colts like your nephew. He could surprise and if he does they may not want to put him on the PS out of fear of losing him to another team. The good thing is the Colts love their oline players, and will keep lower level draft picks/UDFA lineman over other positions. There’s quite a few later round guys the colts have kept on that have shown to be pretty good level guys with bright futures.    there’s not really any criteria for being signed to the PS other than they want to see how much better a guy can get over there.    most of the time, an older guy is either ineligible for the PS because of how many games he’s started, or it’s not worth it because you see what the guy is over what he can become (as he’s been in the league a while).   odds are the younger guy gets signed to the ps over the older guy.
    • Remember all those years we watched Mannings fluttering passes downfield? 100 Int's even over his 1st 5 seasons. Not counting many Playoff interception disasters.  No flutters for AR ! Just less closing time for the D.
    • I just read the article on Stampede Blue.  It’s an old clip of him dunking.     I’m pretty sure they told him not to do that during this time.  He did say he’d be throwing with the guys.
