NEW TRADE TO ANNOUNCE: Las Vegas Raiders offer Pick No.21 (they got from Indy for Carr) and Pick No.145 for Carson Wentz and Pick No.37

Why would the raiders do this?  They are trading a solid/good QB and pick 145 for a question mark at QB,  pick 37, and 117?

That makes no sense to me.

Which Solid/Good QB?

I believe Wentz has more to offer than the remaining QB in the draft.

I meant carr is the solid/good qb.  Wentz is the ?  I don't see it happening.  Makes no sense to me.  I could see them trading up in the draft to get one of the young rookies but i don't see that trade for Wentz when they have better than wentz already - at least a higher floor than wentz.  wentz probably has a higher ceiling.

If a trade like this happen, it would show how bad the Eagles want to get rid of Wentz, IMO.

As far as the mock goes, it is 2 willing GMs and I did not see it as a throwaway price. Plus, the Raiders got to still keep another first round pick.

I'm not questioning the approval, i just don't see the Raiders doing it.  Roll the dice on Wentz bouncing back just to pick up a couple of picks.

I think its good for the eagles since it is known they are giving up on wentz.

Last 3 picks:

Chargers - Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

Vikings - Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami

Patriots - Patrick Surtain, CB, Alabama

Thanks for doing my pick. Couldn't get away.

And darn it, I had a trade offer too that I would have likely taken. Oh well.

Hey @Clem-Dog, Do you want to trade Surtain for Waddle, who I will in turn trade to someone who wanted Surtain? I know WR is one of your top needs, and Surtain is ancillary.

It's possible as I had my eye on Waddle.  Let me digest this over dinner and I'll let you know in short order.

Edit: Care to share the offer you received for Surtain?

Tough call for the Cardinals.  They’d probably trade back and still be able to pick up an OT later in the 1st or early in the 2nd.  But with Farley and Surtain already off the board...

With the 16th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals take Jaycee Horn, CB out of South Carolina

I got him for you. Now I'll trade him to you for what you offered. Good?

Hey, keep trade discussions via PM till finalized and then include me in the PM. That is how other GMs have done trades and continue to do so. :)
