With the price of QB I don’t see Ballard paying the price for Darnold. No way am I giving up more then a 3.

Jets have several different options at 2

Trade veteran for 2

Take Fields or Wilson at 2

Keep Darnold draft WR or OL

I've watched as much Darnold film as I could.  Man, does everything look excruciatingly difficult with the Jets.  Getting one 1st down looks difficult.  You compare Darnold's body language at USC to. the Jets - it's two different people.  At USC, he looks calm and confident.  In NY, he's just waiting for the doom.

I honestly think any QB could come here and play better behind Colts line. Yes even Wentz would improve here.

Darnold’s entire career so far has been a disaster, whether that’s entirely his fault or not. At some point, I would imagine you just accept that more failure is inevitable until something changes

This tweet is kind of true. Whether Wentz gets back to his old self could be the difference if he goes to Bears or Colts. Only one team has the means to get him back to that. Kevin Bowen has a article today to how Reich loves Wentz.

I would sign Mitch to 1 year WCS

Bring him in to compete with eason. One of them would have to earn it.

I don’t know what colts fans want. Every single person as far as QB they laugh at.  If this Wentz thing happens trust Reich and Ballard.

Yeah there is a lot of head butting about which direction we should go.  Definitely an awkward offseason on message boards.  There isnt really an obvious choice atm

Kirk Cousins may be the right choice.  :P

I could be ok with that, I dont know what they want for him though

It is just me who wants him traded so that we (Vikings) can start over. As long as the Vikes keep his contract, it will delay that. If another team trades for him, the effect on the cap is not as bad for the team acquiring him. But for us, he is taking up a large percentage of our cap.

He(Jason) also said we weren't in on Wentz a few days ago. That clearly wasn't the case.

He also reported Brissett wouldn't be back, Ballard states JB is still in the mix.

He is continually hedging his statements to be able to back out of them. So at the end of the day, he really isn't saying anything.

His 2021 cap hit wouldn't be bad for team he ks traded to $21m.

Now that $35m cap hit in 2022 is big, I would suspect an extension to lower that number though.

Either way, I wish you would make the call(to Spielman) and get this trade in motion.

If we dont get Wentz, which it doesnt appear to be the case. I for one am interested in Mr. 30 for 30 if he doesnt remain with the Saints. Better choice than Darnold in my opinion. And i dont think hed cost us any draft picks bc hes a FA. I am not opposed to Darnold though. I like Winston better.

Hopefully we can end up with Carr somehow. Carr is the one i like the most.

I'm also thinking that Winston should be considered.... Let him compete with Eason

The Jets are in position to draft a QB this year. They may not be in this position next year.

If Darnold is bad in what will likely be a rebuilding year for them anyways they most likely would be.  If he’s good then the point is moot.  It doesn’t mean they couldn’t take a QB this year, they very well could, but there is an argument for not.

Lol. I wish I had the power to do so.

I like Darnold a lot. I would not mind if the Vikes could trade for him. We are expected to have something like 14 draft picks this year, most in lower rounds but if we could use some picks to get Darnold, I would like it.

Someone mentioned Winston. He might not be bad for the Colts, but not the Vikes. Mike Zimmer does not like gunslingers. He prefers game managers. He liked Bradford and Teddy.

The thing is this a good QB class and there will definitely be a highly rated QB on the board at their pick.  The class doesnt look as good next year and there is no telling where they will pick.

I'm trying to help you out with your Cousins problem.

Yeah Vikings have a lot of picks. I could see them moving a couple of them for Darnold.

I could also see them bringing Teddy back.

I would just assume to roll with Eason over Winston though.

Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I see Cousins as a less-talented Rivers. Don’t get me wrong, he’s no Curtis Painter, but I don’t think he’s a step forward. Much rather take a chance on Darnold

Have you saw my side by side Cousins vs Stafford breakdown?

Well things are getting interesting. He wants to play for the colts.

Dang, I was really hoping the Bears would trade the ranch for him. I am admittedly not a fan of any scenario involving Wentz this year. The only thing that could be worse to me is a year of JB

Its SB.  No QB news today.  The NFL is not going to step on itself by having trade news during a SB.

Expect a calm in these trade talks to at least tomorrow, probably more like Tuesday.  To give the talking heads time to talk about the SB and the greatness of the Lebron....I mean...winning QB.

Good, I still need to reload on bourbon

Which is kind of the argument for Wentz tbh...

I can clearly see the situation where JB starts again and I'm not into it either. Wentz could hypothetically work out, even though I don't think he's what people think he is. Dude looked washed out last year.

I guess I’ll put it this way: I would rather drink myself through another year of JB then waste any draft capital on Wentz. Wentz would likely be easier to stomach, but JB is relatively quite cheap

Admittedly no, I haven’t kept tabs on Cousins or the Vikings much. I do keep tabs on the Lions though, as failure entertains a sick part of me

Repost:

In just about every statical category Cousins was better than Stafford. So if so many wanted Stafford they should be jumping at the chance to get Cousins.

Stats comparisons:(career stats)

W/L record:

KC - 51-51-2(so much for being a loser)

MS - 74-90-1

Comp%:

KC - 67%

MS - 62.6%

TD/INT ratio:

KC - 190/84 - 2.26/1

MS - 282/144 - 1.96/1

QB rating:

KC - 97.9

MS - 89.9

INT rate:

KC - 2.3%

MS - 2.3%

Pro Bowls:(doesn't mean much)

KC - 2

MS - 1

Sack%:

KC - 5.5%

MS - 5.8%

TD%:

KC - 5.2%

MS - 4.5%

YPA:

KC - 7.7

MS - 7.7

YPG: (finally something he is better at)

KC - 260.3

MS - 273.4

So you(not nflfan) tell me, if everyone was so pumped about Stafford, why is Cousins not a good option?

Sorry for all that are seeing this for the 4th or 5th time.
