Great stuff from the other side on this Sunday's game:

BOUYE RULES HIMSELF OUT

The Jaguars have pinned many of their recent defensive lapses on problems with communication.

Apparently, that’s an issue that extends off the field, too.

Approached by three reporters in the locker room Wednesday, cornerback A.J. Bouye politely declined to answer questions, explaining that he is not going to play Sunday at Indianapolis because of the calf injury that kept him out against Philadelphia prior to the team’s bye week.

Roughly 45 minutes later, coach Doug Marrone described Bouye’s status as uncertain and was surprised to be told by a reporter that the team’s Pro Bowl cornerback had already ruled himself out for the game.

“Did he? That’s news to me,” Marrone said. “I guess I’ll have to talk to him about that. That’s not what the trainer told me.”...

This game is going to let us know if our offense is legit. Hang 30 plus on

This defense and we are going places.

This defense is tough, and talented to be sure.  I think the colts have proven themselves against top defenses already.... Buffalo, Washington, and Philly are all very solid Defenses in, or around the top 10..... Will be a great test of our O, and our D is the wild-card

Good post. Our D needs a lot of attention in the offseason. A 43 defense needs talent on top of talent

to be effective.

Yeah...but they scored a combined 37 points against WAS and PHI. The BUF game was an outlier.

This offense isn't close to what it could be. But I do think they will be able to hang a few TDs on the board.

that is true, but the Colts starting offensive lineup has changed a bit since those games...especially the OL.

Both games were on the road, & there were some starters out. Now that the Colts are healthy  & at home, I feel like this game is very winnable.

Exactly I feel like if anything those two roadies were outliers it anything. It was early season Luck too. He seems to finding his groove. They’ve averaged 34 points per game their last 4 games, 3 being on the road.

I think this offense is legit

I'd really love to see the Jags defense sucking wind on Sunday while Luck carves them up threw the air & Mack legs out 100+ yards, especially after all the trash they talked going into the season. That'd be a real treat.

im no football expert, but im pretty sure that is the coach's call. regardless that is not something you announce if you want to keep the other team guessing

Yeah but the player doesn't have to play if they don't want to either he might get fined if nothing is wrong with him

Its a shame for their owner.  He seems like he has done everything HE could to build a winning organization out of a dumpster fire.  Not unlike what Irsay did.  They should have learned from us and started with the QB tho.

And what is happening in Jax reaffirms my belief that Ballard is building the right way.  The locker room and chemistry matters.  Character and heart matter.  Jax has some divas, like Ramsey, that can kill a locker room fast.  It appears that Jax is crumbling from the locker room out.  They have issues, and unless they figure it out fast, their almost cinderella season last year may be a one hit wonder.

    • Wilson IMO is too much like Downs. Not sure we would want to pick another predominantly slot player.    IMO the players that make the most sense at WR are - AD Mitchell, Ladd(he again plays a bit of slot, but he's also a bit more versatile, he's played about 75% of his snaps in other alignments), Troy Franklin - he can be a Z for us... Jermaine Burton?!? if he's cleared character-wise?? I like Malik Washington but he's predominantly slot too so not sure he's a fit here.    BTW... this guy is projected as a day 3 pick... but because of the general lack of that type of player after Troy Franklin(fast Z) I can see him being pushed up... maybe get drafted mid-late R3 - he's like budget version of Xavier Worthy- Anthony Gould.    Maybe DeVontez Walker? Although he had such a bad Senior Bowl, I'd be surprised if Ballard goes for him.
    • While having 6 QBs go in the first 12 picks pushed some talent towards us... it probably also contributed to it being extremely hard for Ballard to trade up. It's just way too hard to make teams move away from QBs or to outbid teams who are bidding for their QB. I think 5 was probably our best chance for trade up... Arizona reportedly completely shut down any offers - they just wanted MHJ and they took him. 5 was probably our best chance, but it probably was way too steep of a price. Giants probably didn't want to move from Nabers, division rival Titans not great trade partner, Atlanta... wanted a freaking QB for some reason?!?!? Then Bears got their dream player drop to them and IMO that was probably the last chance we had.
    • I wouldn't mind if we traded up early if we picked one of these three players: 1. Texas A&M LB Edgerrin Cooper 2. Iowa CB Cooper DeJean 3. Texas WR Adonai Mitchell
    • Round 2/3 Wishlist 1. Texas A&M LB Edgerrin Cooper 2. Iowa CB Cooper DeJean 3. Texas WR Adonai Mitchell 4. Rutgers CB Max Melton 5. Michigan LB Junior Colson 6. Western Kentucky WR Malachi Corley 7. Minnesota S Tyler Nubin 8. Iowa State CB T.J. Tampa 9.Oregon WR Troy Franklin
