Those are two very good reasons.

 

Argument to that is, they're not winning the South let alone anything else with Bortles. They have lots of pieces, Romo could make them a very good team.

In the past 3 days, he's re-signed Jack Doyle, and got a 4th rounder for Dwayne Allen, which gives us 6 picks in rounds 1-4. And considering free agency technically hasn't even started yet, we should probably pump the brakes a little.

If there was no salary cap that, would be one thing.   This team has way too many holes to go for huge contract players
