As to the last sentence, we really haven’t been successful finding a star pass rusher in the draft. Some good, some busts. And we blew the chance on two guys who have a ton more potential already.
Plus, you know how Ballard is in Free Agency. Not exactly a spend thrift, and star edge rushers won’t be cheap. I haven’t looked at the 24 draft class, so I could be dead wrong there. Still, I’d take a proven guy first up if he were young.
I understand how talent rolls off and onto a team and how priorities are matched against capital.
