It's very disheartening. When AR isn't in the game, JT is less effective. In Sunday's game the Vikings got something like 140 yards on the ground. No one is going to say Darnold is a threat with his legs. Their O line is (supposedly) not as good as ours. So it comes down to the play call. When will they realize that every D in the league knows that they're going to run behind Nelson and they just pinch the gap. I have to admit, I'm starting to get depressed over the management of this team, from the GM to the HC, to the coordinators. They can't pin this all on AR.

The competition he played as a starter his junior year was meh. The only notable conference teams out of his 12 game stint were Georgia and Tennessee, everyone else STUNK. -

Quite possibly, there is an attacking 3-4 front which is more gap shoot from the defensive ends. -

It’s absolutely playcalling. When we run the ball it’s unoriginal and bland. It’s predictable and the personnel decisions are confusing to say the absolute very least, especially late in games. The only wrinkle they throw in the run game is the random end around to Dulin every now and then. And since we can sit here and identify that particularly as a wrinkle, that means it’s not really a wrinkle because defenses should be looking for keys to stop it when Dulin is on the field. They couldn’t even figure out how to use Richard’s legs to any advantage through RPO opportunities. The vast majority of his runs were on passing plays where he pulled it down and took off with it instead, not an actually designed run play. -

Playing Bean is a decision they want no part of for now. Now if we get eliminated early they might kick the tires but I would bet the go ack to AR instead.
