Its good to be back. This is a format that I think will please most people and hopefully some of the 'old' regulars will find their way back.

That would be great. The mods have been testing this place out for about 48 hours, and I have to say that in contrast to a previous experience, most everything here works. Better than that, it *looks* like a forum should.

It's safe to say that it is a long story that is best cut short with - Welcome to the new Colts Fan Forum!

Nice to be seen JJ! Things have gotten into a nice groove at my job now, so hopefully I'll be seen around a bit more again.

And JJ and PG, as for the lips...well, let's just say horn players have what it takes!! And I'll leave it at that!!

I was so glad to see this forum when I clicked the link.

This is the same setup that another forum that I go to has and I love. So glad the higher ups actually listened and got us a real board!

I really appreciate them listening, too. :highfive:

Just FYI for everyone. This *IS* now the forum for the FAN COMMUNITY known as COLTS DIRECT. This type of forum simply works better than the discussion area that was built into the original platform. But it is the hope that everyone will take advantage of all that the entire fan community has to offer.

We are still one site. :D

Exactly, same wood, different tree. We're two sides of the same coin, completely complimentary to each other. We go together like coffee and donuts, Salt and pepper, bananas and ice-cream...you get the idea.

There is no them and us, we are 'them' and they are 'us'.

UNICORNS AND GLITTERRRRRR!!.....no?

Just so folks know, there are more than 100 emoticons. Just hit the "show all" on the right and you will get all of the ones in the old forum as well as a few new ones.

Lots of choices.

We are working on a few other things.

Emoticons, what are they??? Good to be back!

Ok I'm here. A little slow in figuring out the new forum was actually up.

Good thing you called me or I'd still probably be in the dark,

Ok back and ready to rumble;-)

Dash, and I thought all these forum moves were designed to throw all those pesky Patriots off the scent.....just hope GoPats doesn't find us...

Your evasive maneuvers are futile.

To everyone that played a part in making this forum a reality, thank you. It is actually behaving like a forum. Now we just need to have a season to have something to talk about. Oh.....wait......there's an "off topic" section. Now that's thinking ahead!!

a couple of things to note, there are two different photos to choose, a profile pic and an avatar. Some users have wondered why they uploaded a pic and it didn't show up as their avatar. You can set it to be the same pic, I think (we are still getting used to everything as well), but there are two separate photos.

Question do you have to upload a picture on your profile? Because I can't get it downsized. I don't know how to. That is why I like on the avatar. I can go to webshots and go to my uploads and link the right size. Much better then uploading from my computer and its to large. I really don't know how to downsize the picture when uploading it from my computer to here. Thanks.

Is there a way you can disable peoples signature on the bottom? It's very annoying to see a big banner millions of times

over and over on a single page. Thanks

Please see the first page in this topic. PG has outlined details on how to turn them off if you don't like to see them.

Tried to quote her here but I haven't figured out how to do that or even if it is possible yet! :)

    • Very happy lions got this kid. Class act will fit lions culture day 1.
    • I just want to point out that Ballard again told us the truth in his pre-draft presser. His answer to the question of whether he has changed anything in his draft philosophy, pretty much explains the Latu pick in view of him being a bit of a departure from what he's usually done (i.e. super high level athleticism, some projection of what the player can be vs what he is now)     His answer pretty much explains the Latu pick "of course you look for unique talent, unique traits, ...character... but then also... on the flip side of that making sure that we are drafting not only the unique traits but also some substance with the tape"...    So yeah, I think this answer a very good explanation of that pick... "substance with the tape". Not that Latu is not athletic. He is, but his athleticism is not his selling point. The selling point is the substance - the technical refinement, the tape, the production.    With that said... I wonder if we will continue to see that on day 2 and day 3? Can we see one of the Ballard's lowest RAS drafts?
    • From @nsurg   "So he had a cervical fusion... this is a surgery I do frequently.  Once it heals the surgery is more or less the strongest part of the neck.  The biggest problems with a fusion in this context are:        (1) loss of nerve function prior to surgery may or may not recover after surgery, usually over the next 3-12 months (but his production after surgery implies no major concern on this)        (2) the patient will have somewhat accelerated wear/arthritis at non fused levels.  While this is a real concern, it will unfortunately be more of an issue for him later in life, after his NFL career.                 Peyton had this surgery as his final neck surgery before playing for the broncos, but his problem was number one above, he apparently never had the same arm strength as before.        Ahmad Bradshaw also had this same surgery in 2013, he already had I think 6 years of RB play prior to that.  His YPC held up but was utilized less, but this may mirror more a tapering RB career.                 I'm not personally worried about the medical status of this player, but I have no idea the actual details obviously.  I will say that very few surgeons would be eager to clear the player to play afterwards, mostly for the stupid liability things in medicine.                 I think it's fair to say we got a really nice pick here for value."   https://forums.colts.com/topic/76891-colts-select-laiatu-latu-edge-ucla/?do=findComment&comment=2646941
    • I could see a Ryan Flournoy on day 3. He's one of those RAS guys.
    • I guess this means Chris has to be a regular on Rich Eisen's show now LMAO. He did say if Rich could get 6 QBs taken before us he would be a regular guest!
