Pagano isn't stupid (at times), it's Holmes job barring injury

Harrison snapped the ball over Hasselbeck's head yesterday. He just can't get right

Hasselbeck/Luck end result cant seem to handle the snap consistently yet at least

Hard to handle a snap when your Center sends it over your head. Harrison is a turnover machine in the making. Holmes will be the start C barring injury

And it should be Holmes.  Hes much much better than Harrison in more ways than 1

We keep whalen on the practice squad, he's going to get signed. Something I think we'll regret. But we do have a great WR corp. Glad to see our DB'S keeping up too.

Can we cut harrison yet? Or do we have to wait til Holmes greys injured and he messes up another 5-6 snaps?

I don't think we can keep Whalen on the PS.

I think a player can only be on the PS his first 3 years.    Whalen is now in his 4th year.

I believe he was actually put on the PS twice however in 2013 and once in 2014 when we promoted Tipton to the active roster making it a total of 3 stints on the PS

Thanks!     Good to know!

It would be great if Whalen goes to the PS.     Of course,  he could also get snatched by another team if we try to hide him there.     But it's good to know we can put him there if need be.

Appreciate it.

Da Rick Rodgers and Caesar Rayford are recent ones. I wonder if rayford is even still on the cowboys.

Rayford was released by the Cowobys, bounced around between CFL teams for a little while and is currently with Vikings.  Seems like his pre-season with the Colts was more a flash in the pan then anything else.

Really don't see how we'll regret cutting a easily replaceable WR in Griff Whalen

He's good but replaceable. Reason being cause he's a 5th-6th option at WR and everyone knows that guy on the depth chart is your ST. They're confident in Dorsett & Carter at Returner so that makes Whalen expendable

It's carter's job to lose, but Whalen is basically out the door. But he won't get cut until the final ones cause the coaches do like him

You won't see this but...

I really do appreciate your consolidation of Tweets from writers and reporters into the thread.  Makes is easy to locate the info coming out of Anderson.  Your diagnosis of the info is per usual iffy at best.  For instance your thoughts on Whalen.  You do realize that covering kicks is a component of ST's too right?  It is just not about the returner.  Whalen covers kicks and is an option as a returner - clearly not the first option but he is one nonetheless.  Carter is not the type of build that teams send down on punt or kick off coverage.  And I am guessing they will not expose Dorsett to coverage either.  Plus with Whalen's PS eligibility gone and Carter still having his, it is very plausible that Whalen is WR # 5 or 6 this year.

    • Ballard speaks eloquently and that makes fan base calm down for that moment, but not exactly transparent...   Example:    Start of last season: Ballard said he liked the young secondary he just drafted.    Year-end Presser: He blamed himself for throwing the young secondary group into the fire.   Pre-draft presser: Ballard says, The young secondary group is not going anymore, and they've all grown up. (When zero off-season program or progress they achieved between January and April)   What exactly transparency we see here? But, Ballard knows how to appease people, and talk to media so that people will trust him.
    • On Grigson we....oh wait... on Ballard we trust! Trade down on select one of the two premium CB and get an additional selection. With injury concerns we will see Latu go down with a season ending injury within the first five games. Bet on it we have that kind of luck. Also Ballards track record on Edge players is lousy.
    • Latu is the #1 DE in the draft in my opinion. He's a technician like none of the others will ever be. Turner has had almost all of his snaps at OLB and probably fits that role better. I'm extremely happy with this pick.
    • I'm not knowledgeable enough to judge this pick but I'm struggling to square two of the most common posts in favor of this pick    1. Injury isn't a big deal.  2. He would have been top 5 without the injury.   Which is it? Elite talent that has no red flags doesnt fall very far. Is it a red flag or not?
    • I thought someone might ask "who" I would want him to swing for the fences for.....and its tough to explain, but I will try. I would have loved Marv Jr. for nostalgia but knew that was unrealistic at any cost.....Liked the idea of Brock Bowers, etc. but its not really "WHO" for me, it was the effort, risk it....and this applies to FA as well. Go out on a limb for a difference maker, I think they are more qualified to determine "who" that is than I.....and maybe there wasn't one. but over the last 7 or 8 years there have been opportunities in FA and draft. So maybe my disappointment is more cumulative than this instance specific......Dunno if that makes sense, he has played it safe for years and does well with what he has had, guess I am saying (my opinion) at some point you gotta say "I am pushing all in" for this player as we need that over the top player now......and he never seems to reach that boiling point.
