Yeah, that whole thing where he acts a fool, and then goes "don't blame me, it's my condition. I can't help it."

That defense doesn't work in the legal system, why it does elsewhere is beyond me.

When was the last time he was in trouble.  He has issues and has done a fine job in dealing with them and trying to better himself.  More of us should be fools, in that case.

I always ask the question, if he's so great, why would the team he's on trade him? Especially not asking for much in return. The Bears aren't in dire cap hell. They have a new GM and HC who have unbiased eyes on him. The talent is tantalizing no question and he does have a history of being a good solider when he first arrives to a team but his next team will be his fourth team. That has to be at LEAST a yellow flag. Fourth team and traded 3 times. I can see a case being made for yes and no but I'm going to lean towards no.

I'll just leave these here...

I'll even throw in a curveball to demonstrate how fickle and wishy washy he is.

Now, I'll ask that you give me the benefit of the doubt here, I've restricted the presented evidences to only the last calendar year to keep it a somewhat manageable figure. I'll not even bring up the woman he allegedly punched in the face, the headaches he gave both broncos, and dolphins coaches, leading to his departures in those locales (is it too soon to mention that he gas done it YET AGAIN in Chicago?) or the numerous run ins with the league office.

The guy has a history that is well documented, and easily found with a simple google search. I'm not just making it up and painting him as the imaginary boogeyman in the closet.

You're being logical about this

Don't expect that to go far around here.

Bears are in rebuild mode. They won't sniff the playoffs for the next three years at least, and all Marshall would do is help them get later draft picks. He is not in their long term plans. Good, aging players get traded all the time. That is not to say that I want to give them a draft pick for him. I'm more in the Stevie Johnson camp, but if Marshall were cut I would strongly look into signing him.

Oh, so you're saying he shouldn't call out his team for lacking passion when that was clearly the case? I thought you were chastising him for something important.

Lol.

Way to just ignore the issues.

Good luck with it.

He's going to his fourth team for a reason.

If he came here..he would be with his first stabled organization.Outstanding qb, good coach,a winning team. I don't see him being a problem here like he was in Denver,Miami, or in Chicago cuz i think he would be happy here.Sometimes it takes some moving around to find your place.Lets be reasonable about this.

Has Marshall been a problem while in Chicago?

If he has,  I didn't notice it....  (always possible)

It seems as if Marshall has gotten his act together the last few years....

He's been better, but he needs a change. I think placing him with Luck is a perfect scenario for him.

So you have Bradshaw guilty before he goes to court? He did plead not guilty so maybe it would be a good thing to wait before convicting him yourself.

The Indianapolis Star reported

Police said Bradshaw was driving too closely behind another vehicle on the highway. During the traffic stop, the trooper smelled marijuana coming from Bradshaw's vehicle.

After consenting to a search, police found a small amount of marijuana in his pants pocket. A passenger in the vehicle also was cited for marijuana possession. Pirrone could not immediately identify the passenger.

The smell created the need for a reasonable search it just so happens a small amount was found in his pocket unless he's saying it was planted on him . It would be reasonable to come to the conclusion that he is guilty of possession & a test would make it clear if this is a D.U.I  as well as possession .

Either way he is guilty of stupidity .

Their is no test to show if it was a DUI.... if you fail a drug test it just means you smoked sometime in the last month.  There would be no way of identifying if he was high while driving.

the fact that you can't smell weed in a car behind another car, especially in the winter. Then to say the weed was found in his pocket. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that they weren't pulled over for that reason

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but.....

The cop is saying he pulled him over for tailgating and during the stop he smelled weed. Seems pretty up and up if they found weed in the car.

It clearly states Bradshaw was pulled over for following too closely on the highway. The officer didn't smell the marijuana until he approached the vehicle to speak with Bradshaw. Marijuana was even found in Bradshaw's possession. This is about as basic as it comes for a police officer, there's really no benefit for him to lie (unless he's a pats fan, amirite?).

And, obviously, the cop didn't smell the marijuana while he was driving behind Bradshaw's vehicle on the highway lmao.

Huh okay I get it there seems to be alot of that lately . Unfortunately for Bradshaw a prosecuter won't have your misguided bias.

fortunately the Marion county prosecutor won't have any dealings with this case at all. Its a simple possession case. Probation and fine misdemeanor

It's hard for me to wrap my mind around being stopped for tailgating.

Also, Bradshaw was charged with possession, not DUI/DWI. So it's unlikely that anything was burning in the car (that's conjecture on my part). They found 1.5 grams in the car, reportedly. It's not like there was enough that it would have been noticed from outside the car.

To me, it seems like a bogus stop. I wasn't there, so I don't know, but "following too closely" to me seems like a convenient excuse to pull someone over and perform a "random" check on their car. JMO.

It happened in Ohio .

According to Preble County court records, Indianapolis Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw was cited for marijuana possession and following too close.

Troopers stopped Bradshaw last Thursday on the westbound side of I-70.

His passenger was arrested and charged with two counts of drug possession.

Their next date in court is February 17.

While he was'nt charged with D.U.I  if the Trooper smelled weed it makes more sense that some was smoked then it does that he could smell whats in someones pocket .

Either it was just smoked or medical grade marijuana was in his pocket so strong you could smell it outside of the car & that in my opinion makes the least amount of sense ..

If someone was smoking in the car, I would think Bradshaw would have been charged for DUI/DWI.

At the end of the day if Bradshaw is a first timer he most likely qualifies for a diversion - 6 months probation pay a fine keep his nose clean for that time - Then charges drop off record .

I agree I also believe the cop gave him a break in Ohio possession has been decriminalized a ounce or 2 personal use no biggie -  Large amounts  felony .

I no for a fact police will give you a break its there discretion . A sheriff pulled me over for speeding years ago here in central indiana , Smelled something & asked me if there was anymore I told him no .

He just said okay heres your ticket & some advice if your gonna smoke weed don't speed .  True story that dude was cool & I take his advice seriously .

I don't smoke, so I can't really speak on that.

But I've been pulled over by cops for doing something wrong -- speeding, rolling through stop signs, talking on the phone -- and been treated well and sent on my merry way.

Then I've been pulled over for no reason, and had the car searched without any real cause. I've been told that there was a break-in or a robbery in the area recently, and I "fit the description." I believe some cops sometimes pull some people over because of the way they look, and make up reasons afterward.

Again, what makes me suspicious is the whole "following too closely" thing. Just seems like a flimsy reason to pull someone over on the freeway.

People are pulled over and cited every day for "following too closely". Thousands of accidents are caused every year from tailgating.

What's with all the conjecture here? He had marijuana on him for crying out loud. And even if they weren't smoking at the time, the smell of marijuana in a car can linger for a long time and police officers know that smell pretty well.

dude I grew up in East L.A  in Cali those things happen alot I feel ya ,  Been here since 81 & have never had those issues & for a few years I lived in Stringtown & Haughville .

I will point out to you lately I'v done alot of driving I just recently drove to South Padre Island through many states & I noticed in a few there point of interest focused on Tail gating & slower traffic moving over which makes sense I saw signs specifically referring to Tail gating .

Truth is some people get impatient and ride you rear & that is a problem if you'v drove 465 you realize that those doing the speed limit have people barreling up on people tailgating until they can fly around you on the right or left .

The bottom line is just remember what your taught as far as distance & speed in drivers ed just have common sense when traveling in a 2000 pound vehicle take into consideration - weather - road conditions - speed ,

Really...

Following too closely?

There was marijuana in the car, but it's impossible to know that until he's pulled over. All I'm saying is that following too closely is a weak reason to pull someone over on the freeway. Driving recklessly, speeding, etc., would seem more appropriate. Following too closely seems like a weak reason. And it sounds like what I've been told or have heard others were told when they were pulled over on specious grounds.
