  1. Nice! That was our second choice!
  2. Now that the schedule is out just curious if anybody will be making any road trips to see our boys. We decided to do Miami this year. Got tix, airfare, hotel and rental car (convertible lol). Gonna be a long wait but beyond excited to have it all booked. Any trips planned by anybody else here? Cheers!
  3. Great thoughtful post. Appreciate the time you spent putting this together. Only question I have is drafting a TE at 34 if we sign Henry.
  4. Ah crap yep. My fault. Forgot about Parris. Carry on fellow Colts fans lol
  5. Not sure why I just thought of this but I just realized Ballard hasn’t selected an offensive skill position player in the first 3 rounds in any of his three drafts. Understand this is not a criticism. Just hit me and I thought it was interesting.
  6. The defense has holes no doubt but we’ve got Turay coming back who was outstanding before he got hurt. Rock really should be better, maybe Ballard spends big on a young D-line player (he’s on record saying it’s a position that needs an upgrade) and remember that a good offense that moves the ball more consistently will help the defense by keeping them off the field. This tends to get overlooked. Got to get that QB situation fixed and that will indirectly improve the D. 7. Yeah not sure either but he’s 31 so he’s got several years left in a window of opportunity for us to win. If Ballard loves a guy in the draft than that works too. Obviously it all comes down to what Ballard and his team considers a good fit. As long as the position is addressed this offseason I’m good. It’s January 8th and a long way away from roster moves happening. I need something to talk about lol.
  8. My initial reaction to Rivers was “no” given his poor 2019. I looked at his 2019 game by game numbers and his QB rating in games where he threw 30 or less passes was pretty damn good. With our running attack I would hope he wouldn’t have to throw more than 30 times very often. I’m in for a 2 year deal for Rivers and draft the QB of the future.
  9. No intel here but on the chance the Lions are looking QB at 4. Thoughts on trading for Stafford assuming he’s fully healthy? He’s only 31 and this would allow the Colts to draft other positions of need (DT/WR) with their earlier picks. I don’t think he’s cost us pick 13. Sucks we’re in this position. QB purgatory is not fun at all folks.
  10. What big name should he have signed? Before you say Landon Collins you may want to see his numbers this past season. How’d the Jets do signing those big names?
  11. Making the trip to KC and looking to tailgate with some fellow members. Anybody else making the trip?
  12. Moss was acquired in a trade. Grigson was always aggressive. How'd that turn out?
  13. A guy who I like and could be one of those Denico Autry type signings is Markus Golden from Arizona. He had 12.5 sacks a couple of years ago but got hurt the next year. Last year came back and played well toward the end of the year. He's 27 (will be 28 Wednesday).
  14. I believe the Redskins offense held the ball for over 38 minutes against Arizona. This goes a long way to helping out your defense. I would be willing to bet that our offense won't be held to 22 minutes of TOP.
  15. Picked this game for my annual father/son road trip. Bought some great tix (15 rows behind the Colts bench) from Stubhub. Flying into Baltimore on Saturday then driving to downtown DC to stay. I'm beyond bummed about this news however I did just get an email communication from the hotel with the updated forecast which is mostly cloudy with a high of 78 and 20% chance of rain. Obviously things can change but this made me feel a little better.
  16. I'm fairly certain Prisco is based in Jacksonville and you can see his Jags bias in his tweets. That being said, the Jags do look good (aside from Bortles) and should be considered a heavy favorite however when I see predictions for the Colts winning 2, 3 or 5 games, I feel that the "predictor" is a bit lazy. Not a huge fan of national media because not many of them provide any kind of depth to their reporting.
  17. Ballard has said that he's not going to throw money at non-blue chip assets. Now who he considers blue chip is beyond me, however I don't necessarily think what he did last year is the same approach he'll take this year. Last year was a massive turnover of the roster. You can't sign that many guys without looking for smart, "non splash" deals. While there are still holes to fill this year, it's not the huge void that existed last year. Ballard has stressed, younger and faster since day 1 and there are some young (Norwell/A-Rob) talents out there that may fit this criteria. I'd love to see the Colts sign one of these 2 players (particularly Robinson given the lack of WR on the current roster). Ballard likely won't be spending money on older veterans who's best years are behind them (ie. Grigson) however in the rare cases where young talents like Norwell/Robinson become available, he may very likely make a play. Either way, I really trust Ballard (what other choice do I have lol). All of this IMO of course.
  18. I think you’re spot on. Yes there are plenty of QB options at 4 but they’re not interchangeable parts. There is a ton of due diligence done on these players and they come up with a hierarchy. If the Browns LOVE a QB they’re not going to chance it. Trading Kizer almost makes it a sure thing they go QB in round 1. Let him sit while Tyrod plays a year or 2. Makes me think Allen as he’s probably the least pro ready.
  19. They're not far away especially if Luck returns. The secondary should be very good: Wilson, Melvin, Geathers and Hooker with Hairston, Desir, Moore and Farley backing up. The D-line should be better with Anderson's return and a possible blue chip (Chubb). If Ballard turns over the roster in the same manner he did last year. good things can happen. As far as having a defense that can hold a lead, having an offense that can maintain drives late in games will help that defense immensely. IMHO of cousre
  20. I really don’t think Ballard will have the chance to take Barkley. Giants could very well nab him at 2. I don’t believe these QB’s are “generational” type QB’s. Eli will play a couple more years and I can’t see the Giants taking a player that high to sit on the bench on the heels of a 3-13 season. IMHO
  21. So does anybody have the ID number for Irsay's plane? Want to use flight tracker to see if it flies down to Tuscaloosa tomorrow.
  22. This is exactly what I was thinking when I saw the news that TB wasn’t making a change.
