RB coach change

I kind of feel for those guys. Without being sure who is "pulling the strings" on personnel it's hard for me to criticize those guys. The AQ Shipley fiasco, the massive injuries that have taken place the last two years, rookie linemen etc. Don Thomas has been a huge loss and we've gotten nothing out of him. Circumstances haven't been really good with that group personnel wise.

This is true.  It's hard to criticize when you don't know who is calling the shots

Not saying it solved it all, but the "it's the offensive line" excuse is getting old

Even when it was the bad offensive line, Boom still outshined Trent

The problem was the coaches waiting 50yrs to admit Trent is the worst RB to ever put a football in his hand

What if the reason they waited was to make sure Boom was healthy for the playoffs?

Healthy? He barely got in.... And why save someone for the playoffs? Maybe if he would've been in by like week 7, the fumbling problem could've been fixed by the time we were heading into the playoffs

Did you ever stop to think the reason he was not called on a lot was because his body cant take the constant beating the position takes? As it was he got banged around and dinged up pretty good in those limited touches

I'll take a dinged up Boom over Trent any day. Even liked the small sample size Tipton showed

Yeah, because the one thing holding this team back is the 3rd string running back who provides no cap relief if cut.

You asked if wanting one more year with Trent was selfish. I said yes cause with Trent in the game, the run game is more invisible than Lebron's hairline!

:ninja:

Boom ran harder and faster than Richardson for certain, so did all of our others, I am not standing up for Richardson at all here. Problem is, they are all getting stuffed up the gut, it's just the others can get out on the edge faster and they can get into whatever slight hole the oline may give him. That oline is as much of the problem as Richardson was for his style of running and this group brought him over after they seen his style in the NFL for a season so they had to think our guys matched his style. Give me either a better RG and/or a new scheme and then you will see better runners IMHO.

Is it selfish if I'm rooting for Trent to get one more year so I don't have to change my screen name?

Lol...I'd think you'd want to change that moniker as soon as possible! You're not by yourself...a lot of us were excited when the trade first went down. Too bad it never came close to being what we all hoped it would be.

I'm rarely comfortable with calling for assistant coaches to be fired.    None of us are on the inside and know where to place the blame.

It might've had nothing to do with Walker's performance.    Maybe he had a philosophical disagreement with the staff?   Maybe he wanted a bigger raise?     Maybe he had a personality problem with someone?

There are always lots of reasons why changes happen.    I don't view this as the staff offering up a scapegoat for why Trent wasn't successful.     And if this that,  then I'd be very, very disappointed in the Grigson/Pagano/Pep combo.    This is their staff.

It was a joke. A jab at the conspiracy theorist on here.

    • McConkey has knee issues that will probably remove him from the Colts board there.
    • I just knew there was going to be a run on WRs later in the first.   welp, hoping we trade up for either AD (character concerns and all) or Troy Franklin.   there is no way we can leave this draft not drafting some type of burner in this deep WR draft.     Welp, can’t be too mad.  We can’t pick ‘em all and I’m ok with who we picked.
    • I haven't paid much attention to the draft and looking OR making mocks 'cause with Ballard you usually will be disappointed...... like most on this Forum are tonight. Lol   But I wasn't surprised by a defensive linemen being picked. I didn't think he would go CB or trade up for a elite receiver or Bowers would fall to 15. And honestly I know noting about Latu  except a few highlights I seen switching from the draft and Yankee game.  I liked the highlights but not crazy about the conference he played in and  his medical history.   I was hoping for Bowers but not surprised he's not a colt especially when Denver chose the last QB and the raiders were right behind them. I heard the raiders liked Bowers and with no QB left to possibly sway them I had a feeling they would grab him. We all know it was unlikely Ballard would trade up for him(even if he had him high on his board?)   Kudos for the bears getting a great prospect, I hope they don't mess him up.  And to the Patriots for getting imo the second best QB. The Falcons getting Pence for life after Cousins(which may be sooner than later) I think was a good move.
    • I mean, i kinda ma because in year 4 Trey had 13.5 sacks and probably way more pressures than paye has had in year 4.  Paye has one more year to show he can be the pass rusher we need.     and only reason why Trey was being compared to Paye is because someone else brought him.  There is honestly no comparison when it comes to their year 4s
    • 5 best remaining WR’s according to PFF   WR ADONAI MITCHELL, TEXAS. Mitchell's fluidity and size make him a tough matchup for anyone, especially in the red zone. ...  WR TROY FRANKLIN, OREGON. ...  WR LADD MCCONKEY, GEORGIA. ...  WR KEON COLEMAN, FLORIDA STATE. ...  WR ROMAN WILSON, MICHIGAN.
