 You nailed it Caleb.

I expect them to keep Sheppard and PS Jackson if they think he will last there for a little while. Because he has missed so much. We will see.

Jackson could turn into a tackling machine but may be a step slow like we witnessed from our ILB`s last game.

I particularly like Dewey, Sheldon Price, and maybe even Matt Hall for developement. Ulrich John was actually blocking the heck out there too. Go Colts!

Sheppard is going to make the team probably try to PS the President unless Howell starts on the PUP then we are going to have to lose someone when Mathis comes back.My guess is Cam.  I wish we'd blow up the whole FB thing but don't see Pep doing it.

I like it pretty much what I would do but something tells me there will be a surprise or two.

Take Burley off the 53 roster and put him on the PS, Take Harnish off the PS....He just is not worth it. His talent could be found just by closing your eyes and pointing a finger at some random QB on the FA list, Put Walker as a 3rd  Guard and Reitz or Louis as the 4th Guard, I cant imagine they go with only 2 Guards and I don't see a need for a 5th Safety. Other then that I'd put Andrew Jackson on the PS to

I think we will probably want to keep Louis.

I'm not sure if Purifoy has done enough to warrant a roster spot.  He made a couple of nice special teams plays in the 2nd game of the pre-season but I don't think they've even given him a shot on special teams since then.

Harnish on the practice squad is a waste of a practice squad spot.  He's not improving, he's not going to be a capable backup, we need to move on from him.

I see Sheppard making it over McNary, especially since he is still eligible for the PS.  And Sheppard has not looked bad this preseason.  I would not want to depend on him for multiple games but he appears at least competent this year.

And I don't see in Colt Anderson what a lot fans see.  I mean he's slow but at least he makes up for it with his lack of field awareness and grab and hang on for dear life tackling style.

Also Lance Louis will make the 53 man roster.  I like Walker but he will be on the PS this year until there is an injury.

Well McNary has the playbook down already and is playing against the Bengals so I'm pretty sure barring injury McNary makes the team.

There will be quite a few guys that have the playbook down and playing against the Bengals that won't make the team. So I'm not sure why you think that means he will make the team.

McNary wasn't that good last year in limited playing time (sorry BrentMC, but it's true) and he's been injured all this preseason. He has the tools to turn into a good football player, I believe, but he needs time to develop.  That says PS to me

You need more than 7 OL, probably more like 9. You're overstacked at LB and DB.

I like all your players, but the roster mechanics are just a bit off. This is why it's so hard to get down to 53. You have to cut players you like in order to field a balanced team.

Andrew Jackson isn't making the team well at least not this year, Muamba took that spot.

It's crazy how many people have short term memory on just how well and often McNary played in the latter part of the season and playoffs. Coaches don't forget how you played in big games for them.

Eh,he played alright...Did not do anything eye popping, Wasn't a real playmaker. Hoping to see more of that from him if given the chance, He has a higher upside out of all of our backups I think

I wonder would we ever consider giving John Boyett another chance?  I think it's likely he'll be cut from the final 53 of the Broncos as I think they will go with the player they are familiar with in Duke Ihenacho.  If we picked up Boyett we could leave Purifoy as corner depth and special teams.  And we could possibly have Boyett and Mcdonald as the primary backups behind Landry and Adams perhaps.

He did play good last year and he's been here much longer than other guys. If he doesn't get hurt he's gonna prove that he's the third option at ILB.

McNary was good last year, not great by any means but good in his limited action last year.

Here is a write upon his play last year: http://coltsauthority.com/2014-articles/dregs-of-the-roster-josh-mcnary-film-review.html

I like Colts authority and I like McNary and that article proves my point.  He has good tools to work with (speed, strength, instincts) but he has a lot to learn.  When he's unblocked he looks impressive but he still gets taken out too easily when a lineman gets his hands on him and he still a step slow in reacting to the play and missing almost the entire preseason is not going to help that.

That is why I think he will be on the practice squad at least to start this season, also in part because I don't think the Colts will try to put Andrew Jackson on the PS.  A draft pick has a much greater chance of being picked off the PS than a UDFA.

But Jackson has a lot to learn and was hurt as well. McNary is also th better talent and knows more. I'm sure the staff is more worried about losing McNary than Jackson.
