First off, Minshew is not terrible.   He’s a backup pressed into starting duty.  He had limitations, but he’s one of the top QB2 in the league.

Keep in mind guys, they’re selling out to stop the run, knowing we want to milk the clock. That’s leaving us with 3rd and long. Forcing a bad situation for a player who has his favorite target missing.

This may have been a game where the Colts knew all they had to do is play clean, so they took zero chances on offense. Barring a miracle, looks like it is going to work.

Other teams will use this plan as well going forward and their QBs are probably not going to throw 2 pick 6s so a lot to work on/figure out on Steichen’s part

My guess maybe it's because we have been using them more to help block. I know earlier they said Minshew is the most blitzed QB in the league so I imagine we would use our TEs to do more chip blocking or straight blocking than running routes.
