I said this for awhile. The WR position is turning into the RB. Why pay a vet that much money when colleges are developing players so well they are making a immediate impact.

Yeah, not a bad point. WR’s still have a longer shelf life than RB for sure though.

 

I think it’s mostly that the WR market just went crazy high. The Adams contract is gonna make top WR’s want as much as QB’s.

I honestly don’t blame the Packers for trading Adams. This is a loaded draft for WR. Olave is going to be a star & might be available at 22. Adams is a typical star WR

 

 

Hill on the other hand is a bigger game changer than Adams IMO. His quick twitch muscle fibers are unlike any other I have ever seen. However, I can see the the Chiefs liking a WR like Wilson or London & wanting to save $28-$30 million per year

This is one reason I don’t mind drafting WR and not spending a ton in FA. But Ballard can’t keep using late round picks.

I really want to say do what you have to do to get Hill....At the same time, I like to think in long term success and I'm not sure if it would be smart to have the top paid Linebacker, DT (top5) ,G, and RT (top 5), and soon to be top paid RB on the same roster as what Hill would eventually be paid

This has been a fun off season, a lot of surprising moves. I guess because we got Matt I am happy but Adams going to the Raiders was mind blowing. He just left Aaron. Wilson to the Broncos was wild too as was Watson to the Browns. Brady out of retirement was a story in itself.
