CS Colts Fan
Guess the coaches didn't see anything the liked in LaceyJacob Lacey - DB - LionsLions signed CB Jacob Lacey to a one-year contract. The Lions have found a potential replacement for Eric Wright in a 24-year-old who has already made 27 career starts, but was also benched for a five-game stretch by the NFL's worst team last season. Lacey is serviceable against the run, but has been one of the league's most frequent burn victims the past few seasons. He became an unrestricted free agent after being non-tendered by the Colts, and had drawn no other known interest on the open market.

MIColtsFan
He stands a chance to do well for the Lions. He used to be pretty good at grabbing some pics and breaking up plays, if he stays healthy!

dakotacolt
Thank god!!!! I don't know if i have ever seen the back of somebody's jersey as much as his, as the camera is following him & the receiver into the endzone. Definitely replaceable!! Captain Americolt
i remember Lacey had a good stretch of games to end the season. I think the cover two scheme and him always playing 10 yards off the reciever made him look bad. Im not saying hes good, but i think he COULD do well in detroit. Mrfox
Well this will be a good test with the arguements/discussions that were made last year was it the coaching or the player.Curiousity will have me checking in on the lions from time to time. Balzer40
Here I thought the Lions were actually trying to improve. Probably just camp fodder for them, their secondary is already bad, but I would take their worst corner over Lacey any day of the week.
Coffeedrinker
Kinda like Tim Jennings?lolNot that he's been great, but do you mean the Tim Jennings who has started 28 of 32 regular season and both playoff games games since being signed by the Bears and just signed a new contract with those same Bears before he became a free agent? GoColts8818
Shouldn't this be banished to NFL General with all the Peyton threads using the same logic that Lacey is no longer a Colt?
Jaric
Shouldn't this be banished to NFL General with all the Peyton threads using the same logic that Lacey is no longer a Colt?I'm guessing after next season it won't fit in NFL general either. UndecidedFrog
Shouldn't this be banished to NFL General with all the Peyton threads using the same logic that Lacey is no longer a Colt?Or kept here in the Colts section along the same lines as why certain Peyton threads are still here, even though both are no longer Colts. GoColts8818
Or kept here in the Colts section along the same lines as why certain Peyton threads are still here, even though both are no longer Colts.I don't have a problem with it staying here but I've seen many Manning threads moved to NFL general and when asked why they were moved it was stated because Manning is no longer a Colt. So does that rule only apply to Peyton Manning or does it apply to all former Colts?
Coffeedrinker
I would start Jennings without hesitation over Lacey. That's not the point. Most fans on this forum were claiming Jennings was the worst CB ever when he left. yet he's been solid in Chicago.
Andy
darn...I was really starting to like him and I saw potential in him if he played the nickel back cornerback spot. Hope he does well in Detroit!

Corndog
And I thought their secondary was bad already.. Well you can blame this on megatron, they don't have any money to fix the issue. I would hope for their sake he is going to be a backup, otherwise the Lions will have the same problem they had last year.
