Also according to Schefter: The Eagles and Dolphins were finalizing a trade to send Jordan to Philedelphia.

Had he not been suspended, the Colts would have dropped the ball big time for not making a play

Wait,  what?!?

That's the whole point.    He's been one positive test away from a year long suspension for some time.   Even if the Colts had only traded a #7 to get Jordan,  he was ALWAYS one positive test away from not being able to play.

I know right some of the things you read on here. Laugh and move on.

I was hoping he'd play.  Last time we played the Dolphins, he went to the press and talked about how he's never lost to Andrew Luck.  I was hoping Luck would shut up him this year

Which isn't completely true, either.  Lost to Luck in 2009 but that was before he switched from offense to defense.

FYI he didn't fail the test. Continue to read Schefters tweets. He had a diluted urine sample. There's a HUGE difference. However, since he was a "high risk" case, his clause stated it was grounds for suspension.

In the grand scheme of things,  does it really matter?

It's the same as a positive test.    And he gets suspended for a year.

That was always the problem for any team trying to trade for him.    One mistake away from a year long suspension....

In this case that's a minor quibble.  The point is the guy was one failed test, or one diluted sample, away from being suspended for a year.  It was going to happen...it wasn't a question of "if?" but "when?".  So no, Grigson would not have dropped the ball for not going after Jordan.

He even elected not to appeal.
