Willis is great at being a box safety near the LOS. He's always struggled in C2 coverage situations though.

I think it was inexcusable leaving Willis 1v1 on a WR like Lockett. Did it twice, and coverage is not Willis' strong point. Poor coaching.

The offense looks decent but our defense looks horrible. I hope they are make some adjustments in the second half.

This is schematic failure. You cannot allow to get your slow safety matched against the quickest receiver two times in one half, especially since you got burned on the first for a TD. This is horrible.

I see this as more coaching/scheme related, than player performance.

We're giving up so much cushion in coverage, and our bend don't break is getting broken...

And playing C2 with Willis covering Locket/DK is just begging for a deep pass.

Honestly, we should expect this.  We have a team who bargains to basically not do anything but the absolute minimum of work for months, there is not a real reason to expect to come out the gate hot.
