Could Mack be traded?

With bringing in Taylor, there really isn't a need for Mack. Mack has shown he can be a starting RB in this league. I wonder what another team would give up for a very young capable starting RB. If Ballard could get a 4th out of him I'd be happy considering they drafted him round 4.

He could be, but the acquiring team would have to give up a pick plus meet his $8mil demand if they want him more than just one year. (which I think was the report).  

 

IOW, No.  He has little trade value.  

 

If he plays well, he might sign a big enough contract next offseason to earn us a comp pick in two years.

Keep the wear and tear off of Mack. Great 1-2 punch. Wilkins at 3 and Hines....can't ask for much more.

Teams use 2 backs often nowadays. Honestly it is smart to carry two good RBs even more with Mack’s injury history.

 

Just because Colts drafted a RB doesn’t mean they are trying to get rid of Mack.

I wouldn't be devastated if we did, but I think they can fit together next year.

 

I think we are something like 1-7 without Marlon Mack on the field. For everyone saying we can stick anybody behind this line and be productive, having a great backup just in case your starter gets hurt is important.

Actually we r built to stop the pass. On  the way to pursuing the qb hopefully we tackle the rb if it is a run play.

Just move Hines to the slot and use his ability to catch and run to create matchup problems.

Honestly  mack will stay until we see if taylor can live up to the hype unlike trent Richardson

I don't see heavy trade value in Mack that would really be worth it but I don't know crap.  JT also has some things he needs to fix as well, suring up his pass blocking and limiting fumbles.  I see them both being great compliments to each other this year.  Sides Mack does seem to get banged up periodically so having JT in there is a bonus.  

 

Regarding extensions or contract stuff I'm guessing that's all awhile away.

This isn't about mack....wilkins and hines are on notice....yeah hines can be used in the passing game but he's still a runningback right now we have 5 we only need 3 on the active roster

I think it's all about Mack. You don't draft Taylor if you think Mack is the long-term answer. We have five running backs now - we need to trade Mack and get another pick.

He could. He indeed could. Will he? No. Why would we trade him? He contributes next year with a solid 1-2 punch on two rookie deals. You don’t trade that, IMO. Mack then signing a nice deal in FA would contribute to our comp pick situation, no?

We got depth by drafting Taylor today.  Teams need 2 good RB to endure they are fresh.  I don't we should give up the RB depth after we obtained it today.  Mack has also proven to be a RB and he is still in his prime.

This pick is the end of mack. He will play out his contract this year and then we will move on. As long as Taylor lives up to the hype. There's no way we will pay mack big money if he Taylor does

No Mack is definitely needed
