They get paid to play or to sit. They get paid to do what their coaches/gms want them to do. And the coaches and management get paid to evaluate risk/reward and make appropriate decisions. In what world does the risk-reward calculation end on the side of playing them in those last two games? You are not improving your chances of a superbowl here. You are diminishing them.

Leonard already talked about how scary his concussion was and there were times he didn't know if he will be able to play again. Now it seems like he has another concussion. That's 2 this year. and one of them at least was pretty bad. At 4-5 concussions players nowadays start thinking about retiring. So again... how did risk-reward calculation worked out today?

Nelson concussion, Leonard concussion, second of the season, Khari injured... Why? What do we win here?

Well let’s just cancel the last game altogether since neither team has anything to play for. I’m sure the fans who have paid for the “whole” season tickets won’t mind. C’mon man, it’s rough sports, it’s entertainment as well.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a knee or leg. He will be fine from that resting all offseason.

Watch Leonard show up on the injury report with concussion like symptoms next week...if so, then this is just negligence.

Just stop

Seems like Leonard cleared protocol. That's good. Hopefully he doesn't develop symptoms after the game. He didn't show symptoms during the game he got his last concussion too.

Still, IMO there is close to zero value playing our best players in those meaningless games.

Wrong

Concussions are awful but has he ever had one. I haven't heard that he has. He has the whole off season to be ok. I was just hoping it wasn't an achilles or something.

Exactly. Symptoms pop up all the time after games.

Brissett apologists...was that last 3rd down pass "off the hands" or "off target and wide". Geese, he just fires hard as he can without ANY accuracy.

I don't think teams can simply sit all of their important players 14 games into a season.  They can do that in preseason, and maybe the last game of the season, but doing so this early compromises the integrity of the NFL.

What is wrong?

The original quote I seen was that Leonard out with concussion.  Odd that it quoted what I see now. Idk.

We all know JB has a bazooka for an arm divertidos GIF

Hoyer needs to come in, seriously. If JB gets injured on something silly that would be bad.

Is a certain someone else active?

The way some act, we need to just shake hands at the start and concede the game. Don’t want to risk injury for next season. Probably same people who won’t let their kids grow up and explore and fail at things. No skinned knees on learning to ride a bike. Helmets for the kids walking on sidewalks. You know.

Special Teams are poorly coached.  Opposing teams have seen so many bad techniques and have taken advantage of all of them.

Most recently the gunner protector completely turning his back before the ball was kicked away.

Playing/starting them is fine. I’d rather they play it super safe when they do get hurt though. Especially since concussion symptoms can pop up after the game, like they did with Leonard last time.

The new plan JB and FR came up with is for everyone to get “injured”... but stagger it so it doesn’t look bad.

This rookie third string kid looks way more accurate than JB is. Sad

He looks pretty sharp for first start. I’d trade JB for him.

I'm sure the Saints will win.  They have too much firepower for Tenn and just a very good team overall.

Nice 4th down defense mostly today. I hate seeing a team get a fake off successfully against teams. That’s undisciplined and poorly taught special teams crap.

Drew is getting it done.  No worries.

God JB is difficult to watch. It’s hard not to like the kid, he works as hard as he can but he just has no vision to see the whole field. Ughhhhhh and no touch. Everything is 150 mph
