This is the NFL, If you get an inch you are open.... Bryant was open on those two deep plays and Big Ben wouldve hit him.

This is the NFL. Receivers beat corners sometimes, but Melvin did a good job of making it tough for him.

So, for the record, we had a thread today regarding us ranking the season. Now it is all optimism and "wow we're good!"

A little consistency would would be nice guys. :3

It's always like that in here. If we had Andrew healthy and with our schedule, 10-6 isn't delusional thinking. Just not sure when he is coming back. We may be able to beat the Rams without him anyway.

I'll keep this in mind from now on.

A win vs the Cards on the other hand is a tougher one to buy into without #12.

It's definitely possible if the team plays like they did in the 1st and 2nd quarter, but a tough one to believe until i see it in the regular season.

Wow.... arrogance from Mike Tomlin.... "I pulled out starting guys because not finishing the drives was more on us and nothing to do with the opposing team, so I felt I had seen enough of them".

His starters got their butt whipped.

He can cry all he wants to but it won't change anything.

Yea, the who's ego got the best of him and he tried to trip that returner that time.  Watched him coming from behind on the jumbo.

good coach but i'm not crazy about some of his actions.

truth is..:. We pushed their #1s around in their house.  Own it

    • @Nicksteris a good guy in my book, the back and forth was no big deal. It is hard to read people in here sometimes. He is just more critical of the team than I am and that is ok. If we get smoked this week by Tennessee than everyone should be critical of the team. I like it here and not here to fight, I just hate negativity.
    • Guys, this is what happens when you go out of your way to convince your way is right, it leads to several back and forth posts, and misunderstandings as well. As much as you may say it is not personal, "pride" is an emotion that has spared no man and it will veer you towards a personal stance, even if you don't acknowledge it or sense or realize it.   Peace!!!
    • I read it and sent you a message back. We are all good.
    • When drafting is an inexact science to begin with anyways with nothing automatically guaranteed, that is why I always felt stick to the big FBS schools and conferences for Day 1 and Day 2 picks where the guy has had good production against good competition, or if you get a non-FBS conference guy, he better have outstanding production like Darius Leonard did at South Carolina State. There is a reason why T Y Hilton didn't get drafted till Round 3, and Robert Mathis wasn't drafted till Round 4 by Polian. Strength of competition and production does matter and GMs that take bigger chances on athletic attributes with less production over athletic attributes plus production should expect to see lower hit rates, IMO.
