Yeah, Lucas Oil Stadium was built less than 10 years ago.  I think they just used bad material.  Not sure

If you're talking just the field, than FieldTurf has had a lot of shade thrown at it for ACL type injuries. 

 

The surrounding supporting facilities such as medical/weight rooms etc. I've always understood to be very good.
