With me it the other way around....

..on 'D'...I just hope for a turnover....befor e they score

Agreed. With the D I just pray for the opposing team to screw up. It's the only way our defense can get off the field haha...

I find myself hoping for overthrown balls and RB tripping over his own teammate on 3rd downs rather than the D making a play to stop them.

I'm convinced there's something wrong with the facilities in Indy.  We have significantly more injuries than most other teams each year.  There's gotta be something wrong with the turf in Indy

Turf in general is just crap.  The data is very conclusive on that

No. San Diego has more injuries than we do..consistently SD has more than anybody

Bears certainly do....

This year..Minnesota does, too

It just seems like we're worse

I think San Diego and Indy are the two teams consistently in the top 5 for games lost to injury each year

It's the entire league. It's starting to become MLB now, people constantly missing months and months due to lingering injuries...

As far as I know SD uses real turf and we used artificial.

San Diego has awful facilities, as is my understanding.  They won't get funding from the city and the Spanos family doesn't want to spend a lot, which is why they're talking about a potential relocation

    • I slightly disagree here. It depends on who the QB is we draft and how ready he is to play immediately. For example, if we draft Jordan Love it's very possible he won't be ready and would greatly benefit from learning from the coaching staff the sidelines without pressure to perform right away. This way you will have 2 off-seasons and 1 in-season period to develop him and smooth over his weaknesses, which if not addressed my doom his career before it even starts.    In all cases I want Jacoby to finish this season, because I think he's still the best option for us to win games now... and even if there is a small chance that he takes a leap in the last third of the season, I want to see it.    But... if we draft a QB high I want open competition for the starting job next summer. That means - if Frank and Ballard think he's ready before the season starts, then give him the job. If not - keep Brissett as the starter and develop the new guy for the following year...
    • I’m not sure about this defensive coaching staff getting guys into the best positions to succeed. There is something missing with this team. I’ve harped many of times, this coaching staff doesn’t appear to instill discipline or accountability equally across the team. Whatever Wilson has done to upset the coaching staff doesn’t seem to apply to other cb’s who don’t perform well. 3 lineman in to rush when we can’t get to anyone with 4 and they still carve you up for chunk plays? What scheme is Eberflus employing here? This team is all over the map in terms of performance from game to game.    min some fairness here, Watson is really really good and his receivers are pretty top notch as well. It’s a miracle we held them to 20 tbh.
    • Yeah, I'm right with you on this. I know we need another playmaker in the WR market but it's difficult to evaluate their impact when they're either hurt or he's not giving them a chance.
    • This team needs a new QB as in last draft. JB is not getting  it done, too slow in reads,  too predictable, and HC is getting outcoached. BTW where's the OC (Siriani) in all of this offensive calling, he was supposed to be the offensive guru we picked up from the Chargers?
    • TY was not open on at least two of his targets.  Its not really a matter of not throwing to guys who aren't open.  I think its simply not trusting the other guys outside of TY and Doyle.   And I agree.
