My thing with Griff is that he didn't have enough speed & quickness on Special Teams. Just not a good fit. I'm not done with him by any means. Whalen is a nice piece. We just can't use him in the return game that's all.

As a hands guy he is great, and maybe he could teach the other practice squad guys how to use theirs... but odds are we have seen the last of Griff on the field.

Practice squad rules changed this year. I had a feeling he was eligible, but I wasn't sure. I've never been super clear on the PS rules.

That didn't really work out to well for them. Unfortunately, Austin was too banged up to keep his career going... and I liked him a lot.

We should be paid for having to read stuff you post. As a member of the squad he will be working with a lot of people, and every bit of help goes a long way.

These young lads are on the practice squad themselves for similar reasons. They are worth a look, but not quite good enough to make the 53 man roster yet.

For me it's dissapointing that Colts keep cutting Griff because I like him as a player. I hope he earns a more stable spot on the roster next year with Reggie likely retiring and Nicks' contract not being renewed.

I really like the kid as most the forum knows. Im glad hes on the ps, I wish we would have used him more on 3rd downs though

I guess that Grigs and Pagano don't agree with you. We know exactly what he can do and that is catch the ball. If an injury happens to one of the receivers he will be back on the active roster. It's called insurance.

That's not saying too much. Whalen just simply doesn't have the ability to be a premier slot WR in the NFL. It's not hard to replace a guy like Griff Whalen.

The numbers based on snap count might surprise you, He has also been open quite a bit but Luck tried to force the ball down field or to another target

Yeah, you're probably right.  We can always find a guy off the street who knows our plays and has history playing with our QB to stash on the PS.
