Pass Rush [Merge]

Even before the injuries, our pass rush needs to be addressed quickly. With a player like Mathis on the sidelines coaching him, i would expect Werner to have learned some new moves but he tends to disappear on plays.Gotta give credit to the steelers O-line, amazing protection all game long but Grigson needs to address this issue before the trade deadline.

Werner also got beat on that last touchdown smh. I seen him pass coverage way too much in this game. You don't put liabilities in pass coverage when you can't get any pressure on the qb. We need to be on point in the draft and next years free agency.

Pittsburgh did their homework. Our pass rush to this point has been mainly through zone blitz packages - and not anyone beating their man one on one. Big Ben today and any other top tier QB the rest of the season will expose this.

Without Mathis there isn't an elite pass rusher on the team and Gosder at tackle is going to get our QB knocked out for the season.

Positive note to end on : Moncrief is the real deal. By the end of the game you could see the respect he was starting to get (the TD where Hilton was open on the corner comes to mind)

I saw one play where Walden just stood there holding hands and dancing with an O lineman. And Ben just stood back in the pocket all day to throw and no pressure. Setting the edge? More like sitting at the edge..and doing nothing on a pass play. Disappointed in their effort today

with no true pass rusher , this will always happen

The play where Redding is at Ben's feet and he just looked down, hopped over and threw it down the field for a big play typified the day

Yeah, that was just heartbreaking. The Colts finally got a little bit of pressure and began to collapse the left side of the pocket only to see Ben move five feet to the right and wing it downfield for a 50 yard touchdown to Antonio Brown.

Their o line was amazing. We sent 5-6 people on more than half the time and hardly got a finger on Ben.

Their o-line was like a picket fence.  Size wise, we need to get bigger.  Their o-line visually was so much more athletic looking and much larger than ANYONE save chapman.  Chapman just looked overweight compared to their athleticism.
