No more small slow blair WHITE receivers.

WR1 is 6'0", 200 pounds, and ran a 4.45 second 40 yard dash.

WR2 is 6'2", 215 pounds, and ran a 4.54 second 40 yard dash.

WR3 is 6'2", 200 pounds, and ran a 4.50 second 40 yard dash.

WR4 is 6'3", 215 pounds, and ran a 4.54 second 40 yard dash.

WR5 is 5'9", 195 pounds, and ran a 4.61 second 40 yard dash.

WR1 is Reggie Wayne. WR2 is Michael Crabtree. WR3 is Blair White. WR4 is Eric Decker. WR5 is Wes Welker

Blair White is obviously nowhere near as good as Reggie Wayne or Michael Crabtree or Eric Decker or Wes Welker. But he's also not small, nor is he slow. He is white, but so are Decker and Welker, so I'm not sure that matters.

I would as well Brother ,We both really liked this guys potential, and disappointment has set in on this, but if this is something illicit, other than some things that were prescribed to him.I say let him go and move on.These kinda things are becoming more and more common and I don't mind saying that I hate seeing these kids squandering opportunities ! That most people only get to Dream of having!!!!

As I have said...I would play for free.....if only just to hit Rodgers one time :)

We have that in Lanear Sampson from Baylor, IMO. Plus, both Jeremy Kelley and Jabin Sambrano along with Whalen and Palmer are going to be fighting for the No.4 and No.5 spots. I just dont see Lavon Brazil outshining them for a spot.

5 WRs and 4 TEs is the direction I expect us to go in this offense.

Palmer makes this team....Grigs loves him in Peps system.  A couple of publications listed Palmer as the Colts secret weapon.  I think the Pep offense really benefits him. (WCO tendencies)

There has to be a WR other than T.Y. that will get some return duties, that might be the clincher for the #5 WR, all other things equal with the #4 WR. I am sure T.Y's PR duties will be extremely limited in pre-season, so expect the other wideouts to duke it out on that front. Similarly, once Kerwynn Williams shows something in the return game in pre-season, they probably make him a cinch for KR, and let the others duke it out from that point onwards.

The #4 and #5 WRs could come down to a combo of specialist downs, red zone threats, and ST duties, IMO.

It may come as surprise to you, but I don't read every response before I make my own. If I did, I wouldn't have much free time in my life.

It was like 3 up lol.

Not to mention that I was kidding when I quoted you anyways.

Nathan Palmer is another guy people keep hearing about. He has been impressing a lot of people during the offseason, including the Colts. He was on the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad last season, but the Colts saw something in him, and decided to bring him in back in September.

I'm banking on my man Nate to get it in this year. He's breathing down your neck Lavon!

I said this 3 months ago...he would have made the team with or without Brazill's mis-judgement Krunk.....some have Palmer as an 'unknown weapon.'  The WCO 'principle' offense has his name written all over it.  Good post!!

I'd just like to point out that teams don't usually release players because they get suspended for violating the substance abuse policy. I don't know why so many people are advocating holding the Colts to such a high standard in this case. It doesn't help Brazill's chances, but I think the calls to get rid of him on this basis (even considering his less than PR-friendly tweets) are overboard.

I don't know whether he's being humble and contrite with the team. I don't know when they found out about his violation. They might be super upset, and maybe this, along with other things, costs him a spot on the team. But I don't think the Colts are going to release Brazill simply because of this.

I never said for them to release him...I said keep him if he is being contrite and doing the right things.....if he isn't than they can look at releasing him. If he is a headache there is no point in keeping him. He hasn't shown anything to justify keeping him around that is worth the headache. That said if he is doing what the coaches ask...apologizing and making ammends than by all means let the kid have a second shot. I haven't come down one way or another on Brazill. Honestly I could care less....I don't see him as being a major contributor to this team now or ever. He has done nothing for me to think anything special about him and now he has negatives associated with him. I won't write him off but I would fully support letting him walk if he isn't mature enough to man up in the NFL.

I agree with all this. Don't mean to lump you in with others, but there are a lot of people saying the Colts should get rid of him on the basis of the suspension. I disagree with that.

I'm not sure what there is floating around that makes people think he might be a headache to the team. Someone else online mentioned that he has a reputation for being someone that "just doesn't get it," and I'm not sure where that comes from either. I guess there are grumblings. And some of Irsay's comments from before the draft kind of insinuate that there is something else going on behind the scenes.

I guess what I'm saying is that the suspension on its own isn't really a reason to release him. That's not the typical standard around the league. But you're right, if there's more to it than just this violation, then he's -- at the very least -- on thin ice.

You cut him because he is a repeat offender. They gave him chances, they had the come to Jesus talk with hom but he continued to do it.

You cut hom becsuse there are two guys apparently just behind who sre just as good who have kept their nose clean.

You cut him to send s message about weed being more important than football.

So many unverified assumptions...

Especially the last one. Why are you so convinced that this has anything to do with smoking weed?

Another thing I want to know is, there was an open container of alcohol mentioned in that article that he had, Was he given a breathalizer test? Several questions unanswered, Also the guy has tons of money why couldn't he register the gun, I dont get why people complain about having to register a gun

Between Palmers secret status, and Griff did look good last pre-season, I really thing Brazill was going to have to prove something this season before this incident.......unless productivity dictates otherwise, I think Lavon runs the real risk of being odd man out with this little incident.

I totally agree with you crunked.  I was unaware that Brazill's work ethic was a little suspect and I guess he skipped the voluntary mini-camp?  I think I read that.

I really thought he was on his way this year to some playing time...liked his effort and willingness to play special teams too....

I know I usually say 3 strikes and you are out.....This time I say...He gone!  :)

One that amazes me is adderall.  While it is an amphetamine, it is one of the most prescribed drugs in the US.  If it is a prescription, IMO it should not be banned.  As I have said before, the same should go with steroids....if prescribed to benefit injury recovery.  Just my opinion....

    • Let's take a moment to appreciate the unconventional journey our team has taken over the past decade. While some may see our .500 record and lack of divisional titles in over 10 years as setbacks, I see them as part of what makes being a Colts fan so special.   Our consistency in maintaining a balanced win-loss ratio shows our resilience and ability to compete year after year. It's not about fleeting glory—it's about building a foundation for sustained success. Chris Ballard's vision for long-term stability is commendable, keeping us competitive while others chase short-term gains.   The coaching changes? They're opportunities for growth and evolution. Each new coach brings fresh ideas and strategies, keeping our opponents guessing and our team adaptable. It's a testament to our commitment to finding the right fit and continually improving.   And let's talk about the draft. Ballard's approach may not always yield immediate superstars, but it's about finding players who fit our system and contribute over the long haul. It's like assembling a puzzle where every piece plays a crucial role in shaping our team's identity.   As for our divisional rivals, they may have their moments of glory, but we're forging our own path. We celebrate their successes because it fuels our determination to rise to the challenge and reclaim our place at the top.   So here's to embracing the Colts' unique journey, Colts Nation! Let's cherish every hard-fought win, every draft pick that adds depth to our roster, and every season that brings us closer to our ultimate goal.   Here's to the next chapter of Colts football and the unwavering passion of our fanbase! Go Colts!
    • Let's have a wager... You summon Matt Pryor, I summon Cherilus. We have them dressed as sumo wrestlers, and we put them on a wrestling mat with baby oil everywhere. Whoever can stand up the longest while leaning on the other man wins.
    • He didn’t sign a gosder cherilus, so he’s got that going for him.
    • In Indianapolis, hearts once cheered so loud, For Luck, the quarterback, strong and proud. But in a sudden twist, he bid adieu, Leaving Colts fans wondering what to do.   With arm like thunder, and mind so keen, Luck led the team through highs unseen. Yet injuries took their toll, a heavy weight, And in the end, he chose a different fate.   No more the roar of Lucas Oil's acclaim, No more the passes, the touchdowns, the game. Andrew Luck, a chapter closed too soon, Leaving memories beneath a silver moon.   Colts faithful sigh, yet cherish the past, For Luck's legacy forever will last. Though retired now, his spirit remains bright, In every blue and white heart, burning bright.   Now tonight, will be the last We can put this luck fiasco to pass At last we can move on  Band together colts nation, come on
