ell_chrisso
As per Schefter @AdamSchefter: Maybe this is @JimIrsay's WR ... Former Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey is expected to visit Colts as early as today.

ruksak
meh still want to draft a receiver in the 1stI do not support this at all. Unless there was a WR we couldn't pass on, I'm hoping we go with the BPA in a defensive position.

Kyle
Jim's had to dig deep to save face. Maybe someday we'll find out who the "wopper" was that got away. He was a 1st round draft choice, 6'2, 210 lbs, and runs a 4.3 40..... DHB is, was, and will be the "wopper" Irsay was talking about. Name me 1 WR who was actually a real possibility that would be a better addition than DHB?

Smonroe
He's Avery.2. Except he's better when he has the ball.Just like Avery, that's the problem - catching the ball. Worth a shot.
BProland85
Dont want him. If this is what Irsay was getting all excited about it"s very lackluster. Just get a future #1 in the draft.

Godeepreggie
First of all he has never had anyone near Andrew Lucks talent level throwing him the ball !! Or a quality organization like colts I think at worst we bring him to camp and pay him no more than what you paid Avery and have a shot a something big happening!! NY_Colts
I hope we get this done..... Haven't seen much of him but if he's 6'2 and ran a 4.30 it won't hurt to have him, even if all he's running is streak routes...... At worst he's a decoy, and he's only 26, I'm all for it
jayburd
He needs to learn to catch the ball with his hands, not his body. Hopefully Reggie can help him with that.

If he hasn't learned by now, I don't see him learning at all. I like his size and his speed, but I don't have high hopes for him ever being that good. boomer8818
reminds me a lot of garcon. not just the number, but his speed and the physical presence he brings. please sign him!

Hopefully Reggie can help him with that.Reggie has become a real asset not only playing ,but also helping the young receivers,if you have heard TY as in the interview on NFL network about a week ago he brought this out,so you could have a valid point
Jay Kirk
Lol Blazer my friend we finally don't see exactly the same thing but that's ok,i believe he can learn just depends on him, dont really know what kind of personality he is tho
mvbighead
I like it. I'm like most, a very promising guy that is still very young. I just hope we sign him for at least 2-3 years. It seems silly to sign a guy for 1 (Avery) and then let him leave the next off season. That whole chemistry element between receiver and QB should come into play, and I'd suspect Avery would've had better numbers in his 2nd season with Luck. At any rate, as Grigson likes to point out, the arrow is pointing up on this guy as well. He's just been in a poorly run organization for a long time. jayburd
I don't think DHB has recieved the coaching he needed. To learn how to play the position from a leader and Hall of Famer like Reggie would do wonders for him.
Jay Kirk
Don't get me wrong this is not a must, but if price is right its worth a chance, just because of his physical attributes ,but im not like most IMO we are not really hurting at wr
rockywoj
Seems like a definite upgrade over Avery. DHB has the size everyone has been clammering for and he has blazing speed to go along with his good size. He's been stuck in Raiders purgatory, which is enough to bring down most players, and he is unfairly disrespected because he is a victim of having been drafted higher than he should have been, thus resulting in unfairly high expectations.Fact of the matter is, though, he is a huge upside talent that will likely be had at a very reasonable price, all things considered. I think DHB would make for a very exciting addition with excellent potential to exceed the now prevailing low expectation attached to him.
MTC
I mean he is a solid player but he drops so many passes and thats what people complained about Avery and Hilton last year.
Luck_Is_Skilled
There is only 1 question you need to ask yourself if we do sign DHB. Do you miss Pierre Garcon? If the answer is yes, you should have no problem with a DHB signing.

I like his size and his speed, but I don't have high hopes for him ever being that good. That's the problem....you can't teach speed and teaching a seasoned NFL WR how to catch the ball probably isn't happening either. I'd rather we give this guy a shot in the 3rd or 4th round....if Grigson is after a WR. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/NFP-looks-at-small-school-prospect-DaRick-Rogers-2491.html
backshoulderfade
If we can get him cheap then he will potentially be dangerous all over the field with height and speed. Takes away another need and puts us in the best position to draft BPA. I think this is important in a year when we are missing a couple picks. Le Neon
He had a decent 2011. I thought he would breakout last year, but he never really got right after getting rocked in week 3. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000065214/article/darrius-heywardbey-hospitalized-after-neck-injury If he comes back from that he's alot like Demaryius Thomas before Peyton got to town. Lots of size, speed, and power, he looks like a football player with the ball in his hands.
