I clearly suck. I couldn't pick my nose with both hands. I've never done so poorly at these pick games. I'm a full 11 games out of first place.

I do not know how to cut and paste from excel, so had to go through Word, then paste as plain text and cols got messed up some. . .

Actually Andy I'm 43-29, just taking your totals for each week (I didn't "double check" three of those weeks).

1) 10-5

2) 10-5

3) 6-9

4) 8-6

5) 9-4

Were there really 13 games last week and 14 the week before? I see a post or two questioning the fact that two other people with 43-29 records didn't have the correct total games, but looking at each weeks results that's exactly what it comes to.

By the way, thank you very much for doing this. I've run "office pools" a good dozen times, so I know how much work it can be (even if you don't have to worry about collecting entry fees, which is arguably the biggest pain). But I used Excel, not Word, which probably makes it a lot easier. (Well, I didn't use Excel in the 80's, it didn't exist! Frankly I have no recollection of what I did back then. It was probably so horrible that I've developed a mental wall to protect myself.) :P If you could use a hand ( :clap:), let me know.

Must have skipped over a week, or something I did was wrong. I doubled checked and you're right. My mistake. I'm saying that a lot this year :P

People that are willing to participate should do their part and track their own records, compare them to your rankings after the weeks games and deal with it accordingly. If people cannot be bothered to track and compare their own numbers than they have no cause to complain if a mistake is made. You're doing great....mistakes are going to happen in any pick game with this many players.

Here's what I think would help;

Close and un-pin this thread after Monday.

Start a new thread, pin it.

No more idle chatter, no more posts allowed that aren't picks for the week and/or edit requests. (exception would be Andy's 'new games up' posts and results posts).

Any questions regarding mistakes etc should be handled via PM to Andy only.

I have to feel that we haven't made this easy on you, Andy, by posting irrelevant posts within this thread.

In retrospect it probably sounds like my offer to help was prompted by the mistake I mentioned. That couldn't be further from the truth. My only issue with this pool is your offer to put up prizes! That seems totally above and beyond the call of duty. My offer was actually prompted by your earlier comment "Im kinda tired of putting it in order, so just find your name.".

In Excel, sorting the standings would be virtually effortless and instantaneous. I could set something up and email it too you if you would like. Not a big deal (some here have indicated that they have problems cutting and pasting from Excel to here, but I suspect that there is a solution to that.) Sorry for being pushy - it's just that the thought of manipulating data in Word makes me physically ill. You probably aren't having much fun, and I would be a jerk if I stood quietly by and said nothing. Never-the-less, I'll shut up now and let you be.
