I really hope one thing Ballard looks for this off-season is a WR who can return kicks, especially punts.  Just catching it matters but it would help the offense if not ever return was just a fair catch.

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty confident diving is not giving yourself up, only sliding is.

I've consistently heard game officials on the TV, say that the QB should be ruled down as soon as he gives himself up, that includes diving.

Exactly,  when you dive you get the yardage until you are touched.
