I just looked this up.    
 

In his life…. 74 operations! 
28 of them on his knees.  
9 during his career.  
Had both knees replaced. 
Eventually had one leg amputated. 
 

When asked, said he’d do his life over the same even if he knew what was to come.  
 

Rest in Peace, Jim Otto.  You certainly earned it.
