In all fairness chad72 took this commish as a favor to everyone. A few of us agree to help him out. If you want to just blame someone blame all of us who were trying to help. I missed sending OPC myself when I try to keep on top of everything but alias, I missed it too.  We all have personal things to deal with so not everyone can spend all their time in this room.

I agree. I think we can all help each other out. Yesterday, I sent PMs to several people so that they would not miss their picks.

Chad volunteered to do this for us and I think he has done a great job. It may not seem like it, but this requires a lot of work and time.

I'm not blaming anyone. I know how much time is involved trying to run things smoothly. Which is why I didn't this time knowing I had a busy week. But gotta stick to the rules especially on timing. Which is hard to do but the fairest way. That hasn't seemed to be consistent this go around is all I'm saying.

Otherwise, I think it's been a great mock and a great job by all

I agree. Make it simple for yourself. BPA. (Nwosu)

(I PM'd him also about an hour ago.)

Just remembered that James Washington was still on the board for BPA, changed Saints pick to James Washington if that is fine, since the Bills didn't take him.

Saints already got Sam Hubbard of Ohio State, I saw, for OLB/DE

Both the draft picks and players available have been updated above.

Lots of good names still available.

I will say that despite the hiccup yesterday, this draft has moved on really fast.  Perhaps a tweak that we could do next year is have some sort of mechanism in place where the clock either stops on the weekend, or pick times are elongated.  For instance, 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday with the slots being set at a certain time on Friday and Saturday.  For instance, on Friday at like 9pm (or whenever the last pick is due), set the picks to be made on Saturday and Sunday with 4 hours apiece, so there will effectively be at least 3 or 4 picks determined on Friday for Saturday and Sunday.  You've made your quota for the day.  If it happens that we burn through those on on Saturday, then no clock runs on Sunday, but we can still make picks.  It obviously seems like people are viewing and keeping up as time goes along and proceeding through faster than expected.  But I think that will alleviate the burden on the commissioner over the weekends but still put the game in the players hands to keep moving along as you'd only have to check it once a day (if you had no picks anyway).  Other commissioners could obviously help and step up and help out as they've done.

In any event, at least for the rest of this draft, I'd proceed as normal to stick to the rules, but we're going fast enough we could conceivably get through the entire draft or at least through round 5 if we decided to keep on going past round 4.

Yes, that is a good idea. Weekends are when most folks have other errands to run, it will alleviate a lot of things on a lot of ends, from the draft GM perspective and the commish/co-commish folks' perspective.

.......or are drunk at their sister's birthday party! :omg:

Apologies for the lack of professionalism I displayed in my role as the Jaguars GM in round 2, I think Tom Coughlin may be having a strong word with me!

I hear some people say Uber, and some say call a taxi. Is there any difference between the two?

Taxis, at least in developing countries, are part of some labor unions and don't operate independently like Uber drivers or Lyft drivers do, rates can be slightly higher. Uber and Lyft - I guess tipping is optional. Cab drivers do expect a tip more often on top of the fare.

Not sure about cabs in the US, if they belong to labor unions.

Well, with CJ Anderson getting released, my Saquon Barkley pick looks pretty good now!

This might increase the chances of Chubb being available at the Colts pick if he gets past the Browns at #4, IMO.

Cabs in the Indy area have a few independent drivers but most of them drive for a company.

They are pretty expensive and quite a bit higher than Uber.  Uber is better at getting one in a timely manner too.
