The Ghost vanishes again (Merge)

Yep. Hilton has a knack for having huge bounceback games. Not this time. This team just isn't a good thing right now...especially on offense.

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a surprising big-time move or two in the next day or so (probably not TY though). I don't think Ballard would be shy about doing this.

I remember a few years ago people telling me TY can never be a number 1 favors more of a speedy slot wr who has a big game here and there lacks size and strength... maybe we are starting to see that. I will also say Crief and company are not helping in taking pressure off him whatsoever

How many of those targets were late and underthrown?

Hilton did have a drop in the middle of two defenders...

Some of them might not have been great throws, but those numbers are bad

Also, not a good look to call out teammates, and then follow it with a clunker yourself.

WRs rely on the QB. Let's stop acting like the lack of production from the receivers is the receivers' fault. We know better than that.

Blame them for what they do wrong, like three drops today, but they aren't the problem.

wrs also have to be able to create separation which indy wr core is incapable of doing from what i’m seeing this year

Aiken can’t catch a cold. I often am genuinely surprised Moncreif was on the field during a game. Brissett waits too long and if he doesn’t he often couldn’t hit water if he was standing on a boat. When these are your fellow offensive players and you’re facing a lot of double teams, I’m not surprised he’s invisible.

Let him get Luck back. Give him a break.

While I didn't say that, TY is never the #1 a guy like Dez Bryant or Julio Jones are.  TY's really about a 1.5.

But we have not had a truley competent #2 or #3 WR for several years.

No doubt its not all his fault, but its hard to make a case that he's playing well.

For everybody that says just wait until Luck comes back, just please do us all a favor and revisit T.Y.'s stats from his previous seasons.  It is littered with games where he has hardly any catches and hardly any yards.  He is strictly a feast or famine receiver.  He either balls out or he ghosts out.

Even last season when he lead the league in receiving he still had 5 games with less than 50 yards receiving and another where he had 54.  Imagine if he could actually be found 16 games a season, those numbers could be off the charts good, but unfortunately that's not the player that he is.

C'mon man, you think he wouldn't produce with Brady or old Manning throwing to him?

He's a stud and people are acting like he's a bum. Not directing this at you man, just that I am totally shocked our fan base doesn't see that he's a legit #1.

Its obvious Brissett is more comfortable for whatever reason with Aiken and Doyle.

He's on pace for 1K this year.

You expecting 2K I'm guessing??

With him it's hard to say what to expect because you never know what you're going to get out of him.  One of two things will happen next week in Houston, he'll go for 150+ or he'll disappear.

Not singling you out, but to me it's simple.

He's a stud. You don't get rid of him.

DE's don't get sacks every game, doesn't mean they suck.

I ALWAYS jump on dumb players and coaching, but TY is at the bottom of the list to me.

515 yards this year and he'll probably have another 150 yd game or two. He's a player, even if it's for 10 out of 16 games a year.

We'd lose even worse if Ty were to go down, teams wouldn't even cover the other wrs.

Doesn't negate his point whatsoever, which is that TY is either feast or famine.  Always has been and probably always will be.  He does not have the consistenty of a Reggie Wayne.

I've never said he sucked.  You don't lead the NFL in receiving yards if you suck.  What I want from T.Y. is consistency.  If having a player show up 10 out of 16 games is good enough for you I don't know what to tell you, because it's not good enough for me.  A #1 WR will find a way to beat double teams.  A #1 WR will find a way to show up week in and week out.  A #1 WR doesn't act like Jeckyl and Hyde.  It's a whole lot easier to be a star on a team full of players without talent. It's no wonder that nobody outside of the Colts fanbase doesn't look at T.Y. as a top tier WR.

So let's just get rid of him? That'll help the team?

I get it, honestly I do. He's listed at 178 lbs, I don't think he's ever going to be beast mode.

Give him ANYTHING at #2 and I think he'd be more consistent. I don't even know who our#2 is this season.

    • Enjoy I'm making an 11 hour trip myself  in November  to get to a colts game.
    • Details from OTC: https://overthecap.com/player/adonai-mitchell/11660   Four years, $7,386,086 total value, $4,817,431 fully guaranteed at signing (65.2%, no info about offsets) Signing bonus, $2,191,700 (prorated to $547,925/year) Salaries for 2024 ($795,000) and 2025 ($1,130,731) are fully guaranteed at signing Salary for 2026 ($1,466,462) partially guaranteed ($700,000) at signing (47.7%)   The #46 pick this year was Jonathon Brooks (coincidentally, the Colts original draft spot), to the Panthers. His contract is only guaranteed for the first two years, total of $4,914,107 guaranteed, which is 58.4% of the total value. At first, I thought this meant AD Mitchell's contract is pretty good, but apparently Brooks' contract is kind of bad. The next pick was Tyler Nubin (Giants), who has nearly all of his third year guaranteed. And last year, the #46 pick was Keion White (Patriots), and almost half of his third year was guaranteed. So Brooks seems to have undercut his guarantees. Some teams hold the line really well, so I was thinking maybe Carolina doesn't want guarantees in the third year, but they drafted Jonathan Mingo at #39 last year, and guaranteed almost half of his third year. Brooks probably could have done better if he had waited a few weeks.   The second round is kind of all over the place this year. There are still 11 guys unsigned, and a good number at the top and in the middle of the round. But all the way up at #40, Cooper DeJean (Eagles) only has $247k guaranteed in 2026, and his total percentage of guarantee is only 62.8%, so his contract isn't as favorable as Mitchell's. And then you have a few guys in the middle of the round -- like Jackson Powers-Johnson (Raiders, #44) and Edgerrin Cooper (Packers, #45) -- who have 2026 fully guaranteed (Cooper's is all but $76k).   But it's all going up. AD Mitchell has more favorable guarantees than Jonathan Taylor did when he was the #41 pick in 2020 (53.9%). Each draft class pushes it a little further than the previous class.
    • Let’s face it that third down catch against Baltimore in 2006 saved the game for us and loudest move on to play give me AFC championship game. He caught it in his elbow for a first down and we kick the subacute field goal which sealed the game. That is my favorite Dallas Clark moment, but watching him, catch the ball and run down the scene for chunk yards. It was amazing.
