Because one is a young possible future of the franchise player (Brock) replacing an over the hill, fragile, and broken veteran. Where as Hasslebeck was signed strictly to be the backup to a quarterback who has looked like a franchsise player since he came into the league. Luck is also like 15 years younger than Matt.
