Isn't good enough?
Well he was good enough for Ballard to sign a new contract that is worth over 16 million dollars.
Not all the players on the team can be all pro players. Nor can we afford to pay them like all pro players.
Glow is good enough no matter what you opinion is.
This went beyond possibly being a favor to Jim Kelly long ago. The Colts have no reason to be doing favors for Jim Kelly other than Reich, which might have made the Colts willing to put CK on the practice squad at the normal PS salary and letting him hang out there for a year (or until we needed the spot). Paying him the salary they did plus moving him onto the active roster shows that not only is he not here as a favor, but that they (both Reich and Ballard) also see some potential in him.
Eason was never a first round pick. Pre or post combine. Teams love him because of his strong arm but there is really nothing else about him to go crazy and reach for him over.
AJ Epenesa - Epenesa is falling to the second round. Had a weak combine, nothing special about him, and he looks like a 6 sack a year guy. Does teams really want to spend a mid first round pick on a 6 sack a year guy?
Josh Jones - A guy who has all the talent but just needs to put it together. Some scouts say, he's better suited as a guard. But get this guy to work on his technique and he can be a great LT.
Tee Higgins - Because he can't separate.
I think Cousins is a decent QB. But I will say this. I get where @VikingsFanInChennai is coming from.
Just a few years ago the Vikings were in full win now mode. They had upset the Saints and were primed to get their franchise QB to lead them to the promised land. The defense was set. The offensive weapons were set. So imagine the high expectations when they got Cousins and paid him a ton of money.
Cousins has played well, that’s obvious. But has he done enough to warrant the contract that he got? Essentially doing the same thing that his predecessor did before him in the playoffs?
He has got to step up in a big way this year, and like others have said that starts with beating your division rivals.
