Colts resign RB Ahmad Bradshaw to a one year deal [Merge]

Ballard is a 4th round pick who was pressed into service last season and performed well. He is not a beast or a future hall of fame player, he has the potential to be solid and thats probably his ceiling.

. He has a 3.9 ypc and 2 touchdowns and has thus far been injured half his career, nobody is gonna give you anything for him.

From a Colts fans stand point he is great, but to the rest of the NFL he is nothing so far. Nobody is gonna offer anything and even if they did what are we gonna do ? Draft a later round runningback to replace him ? There is no value there, we have to keep him and hope he contributes.

Ballard wasn't pressed into action.....he was the day one starter

Since when do you know anything about football Mr. smart guy! You saw that bum run last year and he totally sucks, what make your tiny little brain think he will do any better this season fool!

Lets first fix our line. Then lets give him a full offseason to get integrated. He was thrown in during the widest part of the tornado.

But you, sir, are obviously the genius here. I apologize for encroaching on your supreme expertise.

And what, pray tell, is your fix for the bum Luck? You know, that guy who completed more passes to the other team than his own in the playoffs?

Cut our losses, I suppose?

Josh McCown is available, amirite?

The Colts don't need to dump Ballard or Richardson.  Ballard showed some real talent last season before he was injured, and the Colts have plenty of time to evaluate his ability to return to form. Richardson could also surprise us if he can fix that little hesitation before he hits the hole problem. Again, plenty of time, and no reason to panic. Yeah, I know all the talk about the "power running team" stuff, but the reality is that it just isn't as important as it once was, and you don't build your team around running backs. The Colts' ground game stunk last year, and they still made the playoffs. Even a slight improvement over last year might just be enough to get to the next level.

Yeah a RB who has a LONG history of bad feet and now a bad neck....... This signing was poop, could have used this money elsewhere. Could pick up a RB as a 3rd stringer anywhere.

1 mil. is next to nothing.

when Bradshaw is on the field he is the best blocking back in the league, and almost everyone agrees that it is important to protect Luck...

Dude the Colts got him for a bag of potato chips. Let it go. If this guy can manage to stay healthy he will be a monumental help.
